I have to admit, that I am always a bit hesitant when I see the name ¨Tencent Comics¨ on a show´s credits due to what has been produced in the past with their brand on it. However, this show is well done. It’s actually a shame that Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai is only about 3 minutes long. I sure wish it was longer but maybe that is all the time it needs to make us laugh.
This week, Shi Fen has forgotten his meal card which allows him to eat in the cafeteria. His sister though has hers. After some strongarm tactics, he gets it and dashes off to eat. He bumps into his friend Kai Xin who does hot have his card either. Shi Fen offers to selflessly buy him food with his sister’s card.
The scene changes and she is being bought food by her friend Mio Mio. Mio Mio forgets that there is only enough on her card and leaves Shi Mao high and dry when Mio Mio is out of earshot and she has to pay. Kai Shin comes through with the clutch and tells her not to pay him back.Smitten, she graciously accepts the food till she tackles her brother later for her card back. Trying to crack his spine in revenge, her eyes are flooded with love. Dramatic and the opposite of how you would expect these characters to act, Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai is a pretty darn funny show for Spring. Check it out!
Wir Sind Die Jaeger! Aber Sie Sind Auch Die Jaeger…?
It might not sound as catchy, but everyone seems to be a hunter in this season of Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. Eren’s comrades are quickly revealing themselves to be more similar to him that first thought - in the titan way, that is. As someone who read this part of the manga but a long, long time ago, I’ve found myself mentally accusing just about everyone of being a titan - so when Reiner revealed his and Bertholdt’s true identities, there was a shout of “I KNEW IT!!.”
Even so, the moment was pretty damn epic. Some of the 3DCG could have been better (not a massive fan of it, myself), but overall the artwork was incredible, and more than anything, the music during Reiner and Bertholdt’s transformation was incredible. Then, before we know it, Eren’s joining in the transformation team and the episode ends with a resounding no from its audience around the world - we need more. Bring on next week! In the meantime, I’m going to try to find time to re-read the manga…
I really love All Might and I can’t believe he doesn’t get as much screen time considering how much everyone is talking about him all the time. It’s ridiculous! My hot pick of the week is the moment when Endeavor is introduced to the anime and All Might asks him out for tea. When Endeavor says no and proceeds to walk down the stairs, All Might jumps and does a spin in the air before sticking the landing flawlessly at the bottom of the stairs and then spinning around with flair to face Endeavor with some sort of sass in his hips.
I love this moment. It shows how oblivious All Might seems to be when it comes to personal vendettas people might have against him, and it shows how positive a nature he can have. Endeavor clearly seems to dislike him, but All Might just does not see it. All Might just embodies the ideal super hero. And unlike our main character, All Might is not always so down. He keeps doing things to better the heroes even when he himself seems to be slowly dying. Go All Might!
Io finally joins the party!
Granblue Fantasy may not be the most famous video game, and its anime adaptation is obviously not the best this season, but man I’ve been waiting for certain moment. See, every adventure video game has some characters with strong waifu potential, or lolis… beautiful and annoyingly cute lolis. It is not until this sixth episode that the action take us to Valtz Duchy, one of the game’s early iconic islands, the one with a huge volcano that keeps erupting forever. There, Gran and the gang acquire a new mission, and sooner than later they are followed by a mysterious girl with long yellow to green pigtails. It’s obviously our beloved healer! To be honest, the anime is pretty straight forward and I’m not expecting any surprises or new paths on this story, but seeing her on screen was a nice feeling. I mean, she won’t turn into a great magician overnight, but we definitely need her freshness and funny bits, don’t you agree? Now let’s see what happens next… Oh! and Rosetta, darling, we’re waiting for you.
And that is it for this week! Thank you for staying with us until the end. What did you think? Did you see any of the moments that are discussed here? Let us know below!!
