What You Need to Know:
- Ongoing anime Tokyo Revengers will be adapted to the stage in August 2021!
- According to the official website, Tsubasa Kizu will play the role of Takemichi Hanagaki, the protagonist; Ryo Matsuda will play Manjiro Sano, the president of Tokyo Manji Gang; Sho Jinnai will play Ken Ryuguji, the vice president; and Jyun Noguchi will play Naoto Tachibana. Ise Naohiro will direct and write the play.
- The Tokyo Revengers stage play will be performed from August 6th to 8th in Osaka, August 12th to 14th in Tokyo, and August 19th to 22nd in Yokohama.
- Tokyo Revengers synopsis: In 2017, Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old unemployed loser, finds out that Hinata Tachibana, his only ex-girlfriend he ever loved, was murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang.
The next day, on the way home, Takemichi gets pushed by someone to the railway platform and believes that he's going to die - but instead, he time leaps to 12 years ago when he was still a junior high school student!
From that day, Takemichi starts the revenge for his own life to save his lover! - Tokyo Revengers is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
