There are easily hundreds of adventure manhwa that can be considered amazing works of literature and we had to sum that down to 10, a daunting adventure for us indeed. However, we feel that we did our best and have a worthy adventure manhwa list for any fans who might like other worlds or fantasy themed tales. Regardless our list of adventure manhwa will surely let you find a new adventure to lose yourself in and that is the staple to a great manhwa. Now then scroll down and we can begin this adventure manhwa list.

10. The Legend of Maian

  • Manhwaga: Im, Dal Young- Jeong, Soo Cheol
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Ecchi, Fantasy, Shounen
  • Volumes: 14
  • Published Date: 2007- 2012

Once a long while ago, there was an evil sorceress named Felicia Rand Philistin. Felicia’s power was amazing and she began showing it to the world. It seemed as if she would be the end to humanity. However, before her reign could even start, a young hero rose up and quickly defeated the evil Felicia, sealing her away so Felicia would be out of the mindset of people for one thousand years. That ended though once a man named Fenix Maian ended up freeing Felicia from her confinement.

Our adventure manhwa list starts on The Legend of Maian written by legendary manhwaga Im Dal Young and illustrated by Jeong Soo Cheol. This adventure manhwa contains all the right themes to make it epic like magic and swordplay. Though since we’re dealing with Im Dal Young, you can expect some ecchi in there for good measure. Thankfully though, as with Dal’s other work, even though the ladies may steal the show at times, this adventure manhwa still works and is a great read. 14 volumes may seem like a lot but before you know it you’ll be done as this is one adventure manhwa that will hook you from page one.

9. Dark Air

  • Manhwaga: Park, Min-Seo
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Shounen
  • Volumes: 12
  • Published Date: 2010-Present

What happened to the magic? Melrose Silvringtinker and his companion are the only ones not affected by the so-called Dark Air that took the magic from all those who could cast it. To make matters worse for the warriors who hated mages, they now see an opportunity to get back at the mages. Journey alongside Melrose and his companion as they go on a quest to solve this dilemma. Along the way they will be joined by some interesting travelers who may help them, or at least keep their adventure truly colorful.

What’s cool about Dark Air by creator Park Min-Seo is that it changes up the magical adventure theme. In most stories about mages, you’re used to seeing characters with powerful spells and yet that is only applicable in the beginning of this tale. Quickly, it changes gears and that is a nice way of making a cliché idea like this so unique. We really loved the characters in Dark Air as well as they all seem unique and have quirky but fun personalities. Dark Air isn’t complete yet but we sure as heck can’t wait to continue this story once more comes out.

8. Gosu

  • Manhwaga: RYU Ki-Woon- MOON Jung-Hoo
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Historical, Martial Arts, Shounen
  • Volumes: 86 chapters
  • Published Date: 2015- Present

A journey for revenge is what Gang Ryong wants for his master Dokgo Ryong. Training most of his life, Gang finally begins his adventure for vengeance once his master passes away. Gang is ready and is quite capable of defeating his foes, but unfortunately, something unexpected occurs. Gang learns that all of those who betrayed Dokgo have been defeated already! What is Gang going to do now with his mission being over?

Sometimes an adventure can indeed end fast. Just look at Gosu, Gang’s revenge tale ends in a blink of an eye and then he’s left with nothing to do. Gosu is filled with action, adventure but most importantly, comedy making this a silly story at times and a very serious one as well. Watch as Gang tries to find his new path in life in Gosu. RYU Ki-Woon and MOON Jung-Hoo you two should be complemented seriously for making an adventure manhwa such as this.

7. Threads of Time

  • Manhwaga: Mi, Young Noh
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Historical, Psychological
  • Volumes: 11
  • Published Date: Dec, 1999- Sep. 2003

Every night is the same thing over and over for Moon Bin Lee. As soon as he passes out, Moon’s perspective seems to shift to a different era completely. Here, Moon isn’t Moon but instead a man named Sa Kyoung Kim who seems to chase after a girl. Then Moon begins to notice that even when he’s awake his mind and soul seem to shift into Sa Kyoung’s world. What is going on and why is he becoming a legendary warrior?

Who hasn’t wondered what it would be like to live another life? To become a warrior or fighter in some different dimension to save the girl? That’s what we love about manhwaga Mi Young Noh’s work, Threads of Time. A truly unique story of a man who seems lost between two lives and what he does when his world becomes almost indistinguishable from the other. We fully recommend to check out Threads of Time for a truly beautiful action adventure of epic proportions.

6. Noru

  • Manhwaga: Ahn Sung Ho
  • Genre: Adventure, Drama, Sci-Fi, Seinen, Slice of Life
  • Volumes: 18 Chapters
  • Published Date: 2012

The world has begun its fall and young Noru wishes to record the end of humanity. Traveling around the world, Noru meets others and helps them by giving them various supplies to keep them alive. Noru’s motive for doing this may seem selfless but Noru wants to hear the tales people have of their final moments in the world. This young man may be the only record for a possible future race to know what happened to the world and its people.

Noru is a tragic adventure but one that is quite breathtaking. Manhwaga Ahn Sung Ho captures Noru’s journey with amazing art and gripping tales of various human conditions, something rare in the world of manhwa. While it may be over quickly—due in large part to being only 18 chapters—the adventure will stick with you for quite some time. Definitely check out Ahn Sung Ho’s Noru for an adventure manhwa unlike any before it. Really if anything Noru makes you realize to appreciate what you have and what time you are given.

5. Heavenly Match

  • Manhwaga: ALIC
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Psychological, Romance, Shoujo, Supernatural
  • Volumes: 178 chapters
  • Published Date: 2012- present

Without realizing it, a young girl is about to have her fate sealed when she happens upon a sword. Without meaning to the young girl lets free a soul from the sword. The man within and the young woman now are bound together. They must face others like them as well as fight to survive. Why was this soul in the sword and who is this young girl? Find out in Heavenly Match.

Sometimes we don’t choose to go on the adventure we want, sometimes it chooses us. This statement is especially true in Heavenly Match. Manhwaga ALIC has done an admirable job not only creating an interesting adventure of two souls but also made some incredible art. Heavenly Match feels like a statement of ALIC’s fusion of art and story and we can’t be happier recommending it on our list of Top 10 Adventure Manhwa. Now then what are you waiting for? Go and check this incredible series out, you can thank us here at Honey’s Anime later.

4. Magician

  • Manhwaga: KIM Sarae
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Mystery, Romance
  • Volumes: 3 Seasons (Varying Chapter lengths)
  • Published Date: 2009- Present

A trio ends up together for various reasons in Magician. For Iremy, it is just an adventure. Enzu wants to kill those who took his father away from him. Then finally, Endermast is looking for some type of manuscript. These three people are clearly all out for their own goals but their tale will bind them together in both good times and bad.

Magician by KIM Sarae just screams adventure from the beginning. The tale of three different people on differing quests could almost get messy if not handled correctly. Luckily KIM Sarae uses true writing skills to keep this story interesting and never dull or convoluted. We truly love Magician and we know you folks will as well once you try it out. Be ready for a long read though, there are three seasons of Magician which means you’ll be reading for a while.

3. Meister

  • Manhwaga: Narak- TT
  • Genre: Fantasy, Adventure
  • Volumes: 24 Chapters
  • Published Date: 2016- Present

Reckledam has always dreamed of being a warrior. However, Reckledam only has two strong skills, making him not worthy to being a warrior in the eyes of the people. Settling for a miner’s job for his ill brother, Reckledam seems to leave his dream in the past. Yet, when he is ordered to attack a creature rampaging in the mines, Reckledam shows the world that those two skills he had are now mastered. Can this once wannabe warrior show the world he’s worthy of the title?

Manhwage Narak alongside TT created a truly empowering adventure manhwa in Meister. The concept of someone settling for something because they aren’t strong enough is a true stop to many. That’s why it’s amazing that Narak shows if you continue to fight and train, you can get only better and better as long as you don’t give up. Meister is an excellent adventure manhwa series so far with a strong message about not giving up on your dreams. An adventure is always hard in the beginning but like Reckledam, you can succeed eventually.

2. The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor

  • Manhwaga: LEE Do-gyeong- NAM Heesung- Grimza, Kim Tae-Hyung
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
  • Volumes: 52 Chapters
  • Published Date: 2015-2016

Lee Hyun had played a game called Continent of Magic for so long he became famous. In his legendary avatar, Lee went on many quests and missions forging a name for himself in this fantasy game. Though like all gamers, Lee eventually grew to feel it was time to move on and somehow found himself selling his avatar for millions of dollars in real world money. Though multiple bad decisions leave Lee having lost all of his cash and now, indebted to some shady loans sharks. With one change to make it big again, Lee enters a new game that is virtual reality based called Royal Road.

People really forget that MMORPGs can be quite lucrative. Selling items and characters is something that really occurs and that kind of makes The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor not that farfetched. What’s also cool about this story is the cool art and virtual reality setting, which is always a nice touch when done right in any medium. Action, adventure and a sprinkle of comedy blend together to create a truly great adventure manhwa. Now then it’s time to move on to our final adventure manhwa and we know some people will be very happy indeed.

1. Tower of God

  • Manhwaga: Lee Jong-hui
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Mystery
  • Volumes: 2
  • Published Date: 2010- Present

Twenty-Fifth Bam—or just Bam—is a young man who has lived a majority of his life under a strange place called the Tower. For many years, Bam relied on a young woman named Rachel who took care of him and saw to it that he wasn’t lonely. However, when Rachel enters the mysterious Tower, Bam chases after her to learn the Tower is a place where warriors test to see if they can ascend its floors. Bam will now have to somehow survive these odd fights if he wishes to find Rachel and make it to the top. The ultimate adventure manhwa begins now in Tower of God.

Our lists ends with what many consider one of the best adventure manhwa out there, Tower of God. Manhwaga Lee Jong-hul both created this epic tale of intrigue as well as illustrated it, and we are blown away by the greatness in both elements. Fans of action and adventure will not want to miss reading Tower of God which just recently hit its 2nd volume. We knew from the start of making this Top 10 Adventure Manhwa list that Tower of God was going to be in the number one slot, that’s how epic this story is. Why not conclude an amazing adventure with an equally amazing adventure manhwa, right?
