Amane Misa is going to be the only real yandere on our list for pretty obvious reasons. Yandere girls have in general many attributes that make them girlfriend material. And then they also have a lot of tiny little details that make you want to run the hell away from them. However, Misa Misa is one of the least scary yandere girlfriends ever. Yes, she can ruin your plans of world domination, yet she can be extremely devoted, caring and charming.

Of course, it's no minor detail that Misa is a freaking rising star and the most desired woman in Japan either. Who wouldn't want to be the envy of everyone by having this gorgeous and loving lady by their side? Well, Light clearly. But any non-psychopathic man would be definitely delighted to have this awesome girl as girlfriend.

Chiyo Kurihara is that sweet, innocent and optimistic girl in Prison School who's not influenced by what people might say. She's not afraid of talking to Kiyoshi Fujino, one of the five boys at Hachimitsu Academy. Chiyo is the kind of girl who sees the good side in everyone, which is why she’s so cute and nice and 100% girlfriend material.

Chiyo-chan is the type of girl you’d love to take to the park for a picnic and spend your whole afternoon just staring into each other’s eyes. So what if she makes salty onigiri with nothing but rice? At least Chiyo-chan’s thoughtful enough to make you a bunch of healthy food. Having Chiyo-chan as your girlfriend is probably the closest you can get to “happily ever after”.

Everyone who’s seen Clannad, and especially Clannad: After Story, knows exactly why Nagisa has to be on our list. She’s made us cry so much that we just want to see this little cutie pie of a girl as happy as can be. Poor Nagisa is so weak due to her health issues that any man with a heart would love to take care of her day and night.

Nagisa is the girl next door you grow up thinking how nice and cute she is and how surprisingly comfortable you feel around her. Everything about her is familiar and cozy. Even her parents are awesome; they would certainly make great in-laws too. Nagisa is not just girlfriend material, she’s wife and kids material.

Having Hitagi Senjougahara as your girlfriend would probably not be a walk in the park precisely. She’s surely a high maintenance kind of girl, but no one expects having a relationship to be easy (unless you’re way too dreamy, or naïve). However, Hitagi has more than enough to keep us busy and entertained.

When she’s not making you feel bad about yourself by being brutally honest, Hitagi is acting tsundere-like or probably threatening you with a stapler.Still, that’s what makes Hitagi so special, and we -anime fans- love that! Besides, we all know that deep down she’s a sweet girl with loads of oddity to share.

Hinata Hyuuga has proven as much as anyone else that she’s girlfriend material. She’s the cute dandere girl from Naruto who’s love and determination got her Naruto Uzumaki’s heart. This is the type of girl that will do anything for you (but in a good way, not like a yandere), whether it means training night and day or putting her neck on the line to save you.

With the passing of years, Hinata has not only won Naruto’s heart but ours as well. Anyone would be lucky to have such a dedicated and loving girl by their side. Plus, while Hinata looks super sweet, she’s pretty tough too. She can really kick ass right now!

Lucy Heartfilia is without a doubt one of the hottest girls in anime. Of course, that doesn’t exactly make her girlfriend material. What does make her a good prospect is what we cannot see with our eyes. Despite her exceptional vanity and excess of self-confidence, Lucy really cares about other people. Indeed, she has a very big heart… beneath her equally sized breasts.

What’s even more, Lucy is quite clever as well. She seems to have a deep interest in literature. Lucy’s definitely got the whole package. She’s the type of babe you can actually have an interesting conversation with. As long as you prove to be the kind of strong man she’s into, Lucy will surely make a fine girlfriend.

Hestia is an absolute babe of a goddess who truly deserves to be worshipped. This loli with huge breasts has the best of two worlds combining for perfection. In fact, the first thought of anyone who’s ever watched Danmachi is “Bell, come on! She’s all over you, what are you doing?”. Seriously, Bell is a great character and all, but he just doesn’t deserve a super hot goddess like Hestia. The rest of us would definitely kill for a girl like that.

And it’s not just that she’s shockingly sexy and beautiful. Hestia is super sweet and playful, and she really cares about her human adventurer. We’d all be ecstatic to have Hestia as our girlfriend. Even if that means risking our life every single day in the dungeons...

The lovely Winry Rockbell is the kind of tomboy we’d love to have as our girlfriend. She’s got everything you’re looking for in a girl; the beauty, the attitude, the soft girly side and the nerdy side too. Winry may be a bit hot-headed (one might even say tsundere-ish) but that’s only because she’s really emotional and she’s got a rough way of expressing what she feels.

Winry is incredibly devoted to what she loves, not just when designing and repairing automail, but also towards people who really mean something to her. Plus, Winry would surely make nice birthday and anniversary presents. Who wouldn’t want an automail arm for their birthday? No doubt she’d make the coolest girlfriend ever.

Obviously, pretty much all the girls from Highschool of the Dead would make fine girlfriends (except maybe Saya Takagi, who’s a bit too much of a tsundere sometimes). The reason why we believe Saeko Busujima is more girlfriend material than the others is because she’s got the best of them all. Saeko’s got Saya’s fierce attitude, Rei’s sweetness and, especially when she’s wearing sexy lingerie, Shizuka’s sex appeal (minus the bouncing breasts sound).

Saeko has the whole package. And that’s without even mentioning how cool she looks bashing zombies’ skulls with her bokken (Japanese wooden sword). That right there is the girl of your dreams… and I bet they’re wet dreams too.

Asuna is very likely the most perfect girl in anime to have as your girlfriend. You just can’t dislike her. Asuna is incredibly sweet and she’s as cool as it gets. It doesn’t even matter if she’s not as hot as some of the other girls we’ve mentioned; Asuna is the real deal. She’s kind, sweet and a lot of fun whether you want to go chill in the countryside or go to slay some monsters and level up.

Besides, with her cooking skill maxed, she will probably delight you with some nice dishes. Perhaps she can make a cake for you on your birthday, maybe even with an RPG inspired design. Yup, she would make the best girlfriend ever. No wonder why so many people resent Kirito.
