However, the secluded home nearby belongs to the most popular boy in school, Yuki Sohma and his cousins Shigure and Kyou. When the Sohma boys stumble upon her tent, they take pity on her. In turn, they offer her a place to stay in exchange for housekeeping services. As Tooru accepts their offer, over time, she gains knowledge of the Sohma family curse. Progressively, Tooru develops close relationships with each member of the Sohma family, thus changing their views of the curse and life.

We are introduced to Hatsuharu in the tenth episode. Hatsuharu embodies the Ox of the Chinese Zodiac, although the series interprets the sign as a cow. We can see this casted onto him because of his black and white hair, as he is constantly criticized by the colors not being natural. He appears very mature for his age, despite being a year younger than Tooru, Yuki and Kyou, except when he turns ‘black’. With his dual personality, his alternate state sets his temper flashing from zero to sixty, disregarding all logic and rationality. However, after losing steam, Hatsuharu reverts back to his normal ‘white’ state. 4. Sekizan Takuya from All Out!

  • Episodes: 25

All Out!! falls under the countless stream of anime that have aired this season, but differs from the rest because it highlights the sport of rugby. We are introduced to Gion Kenji, a high school student who is short in stature, but nevertheless makes up for what he lacks with an upbeat and spunky personality. We are also presented with Iwashimuzu Sumiaki, Hachiouji Mutsumi and Sekizan Takuya, who at different times join the school’s rugby team. In the introductory scenes, we watch shorty Gion come to the defense of towering Iwashimuzu, as some bullies are cornering him. In a scenario you normally don’t see, the two instantly become acquainted. Additionally, while these guys vary in level of rugby skills, Hachiouji is the guy that brings rugby to Gion’s interest. As Hachiouji asks Gion and Iwashimuzu to watch a scrimmage, Gion is drawn to the action and excitement. As signup commences, we are then introduced to team captain, Sekizan Takuya. Over the course of this anime, we observe these independent and unique personalities come together, in the common spirit of rugby, to ultimately become the best team in contest.

Sekizan is a muscular fellow, appearing very intimidating at first glance, but is approachable and caring, with a quirky sense of humor. Nanbaka is a comedy and action based anime about four prisoners residing at Nanba, a world-renowned maximum-security prison. The cell-block line-up includes Juugo, a convict whose sentence got extended due to several attempted break-outs; Uno, an inmate who is obsessed with gambling and girls; Rock, a foodie and fighter, constantly stirring the pot; and Nico, a prior drug addict with an interest in anime. Collectively, we watch these four offenders in their daily shenanigans, as they deal with other inmates and prison guards. Moreover, we learn a little more about them, their pasts and how they came to be.

Nanbaka is an amusing action-comedy, with countless bouts of silliness. The animation is brilliantly colorful and incredibly eye-catching. Our main character, Juugo, sticks out from the rest because of his noteworthy eye colors, green and purple. In addition to his heterochromia, he has jet-black hair with red tips. This hairstyle isn’t as particularly visually striking as the rest of him. However, in our opinion, the black and subtle red style is a fashion that both guys and girls could sport.

Bungou Stray Dogs channels the development of each character and how they came to be, as well as countless, stirring mysteries to solve.

Yumeno Kyusaku has an interesting style. It’s rather sophisticated, yet at the same time, youthful and adorable. As many of the characters are based on historical authors of the 19th and 20th century, Yumeno’s wardrobe carries on this tailored, professional fit, complementing his silhouette. As we admire how well put together Yumeno is, the real focus is on his hair. It is parted down the middle with the left side being white and the right being black. As the real Yumeno Kyusaku is recognized for his surrealism and science fiction works, his character in Bungou Stray Dogs is a close representation of some of his literary pieces.
