Some people are into tsunderes but some people out there are into yanderes and that's how the Sonozaki sisters earned their spot in this list. Some twins, like the Hitachiins, are just mischievous but how about a pair of beautiful twins that are murderous? As the saying goes, they'll love you until your very last breath.

Shion and Mion are an interesting set of twins. While Mion tends to be a bit more tomboyish, Shion is the more girlie of the two, which she shows by getting embarrassed or flustered a lot more easily than her sister (a great example of this is when Keiichi first sees Shion working in the local family restaurant in her revealing uniform). They both have a twisted, evil side though, and the only difference is what will trigger their psychotic side to come out from the darkness.

We will be talking about all sorts of different types of sibling relationships in this article. Now we're going to talk about the one where the sisters just drive their brother batty by waking him up in horribly violent ways. And they don't actually want anything to do with their older sibling once they're outside of the house, because they think he's kind of weird and creepy.

Can you blame the fire sisters? Koyomi is kind of a creeper for a brother (see the toothbrush scene in Nisemonogatari?!), but that doesn't change the fact that deep down inside, these sisters love their brother. They might not show it in obvious ways all the time but it is true.

Sure, Lelouch is a bit of a psychopath but when you think about it, he's also one of the best brothers in the history of anime. He loves his sister with all of his heart and would do absolutely anything to protect her, including taking on an entire empire in order to exact revenge for the death of their family and help her smile again.

Lelouch is somewhere on the extreme side when it comes to brotherly love. All he really wants is to find out who murdered his family and restore the happiness that he and his sister once had. One could argue that there are much simpler ways to go about it than taking on an entire evil empire, but a genius like Lelouch would never be interested in the simple ways of doing things.

Many times when you come across a pair of siblings you notice how well the older sibling is taking care of the younger one... and then you have the Hirasawa sisters. Their roles are reversed and the younger sister Ui is the one who is making sure that Yui is actually doing things like eating, sleeping and studying. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Throughout the run of the series, Ui proves how much more capable she is at handling life than her older sister on a constant basis. If it weren't for her, Yui would never have learned to play her guitar properly! Even when she's sick, Ui is there to help and act as a gracious host for Yui's friends when they come over to visit.

Ayumi means well. She really does but all she does is drive Yu crazy, but in this case, Yu doesn't realize how important she is to him until she's no longer there to serve him nasty meals that are filled with pizza sauce. That's the most important lesson to take away from Charlotte: treasure what you have because you never know when it might be taken away from you.

Spoilers aren't our friends so we won't go into details about what happens in this series but it's important to note that while she might seem annoying and trivial at first. Those are the characters who always seem to play one of the most important roles in the main character's life by the end of the series. Just some food for thought.

Some brotherly relationships, on the other hand, aren't quite as deep as they are twisted, and that's exactly how you would describe the closer than close relationship between these twins from Ouran High School Host Club. They eat together, they sleep together, they club together and they scheme together, making them a perfect pair of rapscallions that you can't help but love.

Hikaru and Kaoru grew up only wanting to be friends with each other. Their bond is seemingly impossible to break... that is until a girl becomes involved. Not just any girl, but a girl who can actually tell them apart and won't put up with their nonsense. That's the spark that these twins needed in order to realize that it shouldn't be them against the world, it should be them trying to embrace and live in the world that they inhabit.

Not every sibling relationship can be all cozy and warm. Sometimes relations are strained by something that happened in the past, as is the case of Rin and Gou. Rin is troubled by something that happened to him and for the majority of the first season of Free!, Gou has to work really hard to pull Rin back out of his shell and become the person that he is capable of being. Having a sibling isn't always easy, but if you really love them, the end result will usually be worth all the effort you put into it.

This is one of the toughest relationships to talk about: the strained one. We've all had relationships in our lives which have gone awry for one reason or another, but it's even harder when that relationship is with a close family member like your sibling. Rin and Gou do love each other and they do want to be together again, but Rin makes that more than a little difficult due to his stubbornness and refusal to let go of the past.

We talked earlier about a pair of sisters that feature the younger sibling taking care of the older sibling, now let's go the opposite direction and feature a pair of sisters which has the oldest taking care of the youngest. Kagami might be a textbook tsundere but she really does love her sister and wants what's best for her, even if Tsukasa can be kind of an airhead at times. It just goes to show that if you want a strong relationship with your sibling, sometimes you have to work for it.

All through Lucky Star, Kagami has to take care of her younger twin. She helps with her homework, explains jokes to her... it's all in a day's work for an older sister and it's a responsibility that she takes very seriously.

Some siblings just compliment each other implicitly and that would be the case with this brother-sister combination of gamers. In the gaming world, these two are unmatched and a big part of that is because they know and trust each other completely to the point where they know what each other is thinking. That's a quality that can only be built up over time with lots of energy and love backing it up.

Having a sibling that close to you is hard to achieve. When you want to spend all your time with them and do something that you love with each other, isn't the easiest point to get to, but Shiro and Sora have found that point and they are comfortable there. Of course it's also led to them being complete shut-ins who do nothing but game all the time, but let's focus on the positive.

Some people will tell you that diamonds are the toughest substance on Earth, but if you want to see something even tougher, just look at the bond between these two brothers. Edward and Alphonse Elric love each other in ways that no other could truly understand. How could anyone possibly understand the depths of a bond so deep that one brother would literally give up limbs in order to save the other from completely disappearing?

Edward and Alphonse are an amazing example of sibling love and trust, at its finest and purest. Ed gave up almost everything in order to save his brother and continues to make sacrifices on a daily basis in to restore him back to his original form, because he knows that he is responsible for what happened to him and wants to make amends. To have that kind of drive, commitment, and love for your sibling is more than a little admirable.
