We’ll start off with one of the most handsome and gallant boys in anime: Takumi Usui. Takumi is the most popular student at Seika High School as well as the most eligible one. You can often see him around high school being harassed by girls or turning them down each time they confess their love to him. After all, Takumi only has one love interest and that is Misaki.

It’s really no wonder why Takumi is so popular with the ladies. It only takes a good look at his pretty face to realize what it is he has that we, forever alone, don’t. It is indeed something in his eyes what makes Takumi truly irresistible. Those big dreamy emerald eyes hiding behind a curtain of sexy blonde spiky hair are clearly more than enough to win any girl’s heart. A single look at them can absolutely mesmerize you.

We all know Naruto is THE show when it comes to weird eyes with superpowers. In this show we find such mystic eyes as the Byakugan, the Sharingan and the Rinnegan (the “Three Great Dojutsu”). All of them look pretty cool and provide their users with awesome abilities. However, for this list we have chosen Pain and his Rinnegan eyes because they are some of the weirdest, scariest and most badass eyes on the show.

Pain’s eyes feature a hypnotizing ripple pattern made of a succession of perfect circles over a gray background around a small black pupil. Whoever has the Rinnegan eyes is said to be either a potential “God of Creation” who brings peace to the world or a potential “Destroyer” capable of reducing everything to ashes. Considering this, it’d be wise not to mess with him. Although the scary look of these eyes is also a good warning to keep us away from him.

Freed Justine is the most attractive or at least the classiest guy on Fairy Tail, and he also has a beautiful pair of eyes to go with his awesome style. You can always tell when an anime character is supposed to look beautiful because of the beauty mark right below one of his eyes (Lancer from Fate/Zero and Sakamoto from Sakamoto desu ga are perfect examples). Freed Justine is clearly that kind of anime guy, although in his case, the beauty mark is a mere detail next to his lovely sea foam green eyes.

However, what earns Freed a place on our list is not the lovely green in his eyes but how cool they become whenever he uses his eye magic. When Freed makes use of such magic, his right eye acquires a demonic look as his iris and pupil begin to glow and turn purple and his sclera (usually the white portion of the eye) turns dark blue. He’s a bit less of a pretty boy and much scarier when his right eye suffers this change, although it also makes him look pretty badass and we love that!

Soushi Miketsukami is our favorite secret service agent, and the reason for that is no secret at all. A mere look into those heterochromatic puppy eyes is enough to leave you breathless. This foxy boy (he’s a nine-tailed spirit fox) spends most of his time following his partner Ririchiyo like a dog and doing everything for her. This could seem a little creepy coming from anyone else, although with those lovely eyes, Soushi is the cutest stalker ever.

Soushi has shiny colorful eyes that look like precious stones. His right eye is cerulean blue while his left eye is amber, which makes him look like he has a sapphire and an amber stone in his eye sockets. This difference in coloration may be a reflection of Soushi’s half-human half-youkai nature. Although, we could also say he won the genetic jackpot. We’d kill to have Soushi’s gorgeous eyes!

This can be a bit of a paradox but one of the anime characters with the best eyes is this boy who permanently has his eyes closed, Leonardo Watch. From time to time we see characters in anime who have their eyes so squinted it looks like they never open them (such as Brock from Pokemon or Yoshimura from Tokyo Ghoul). Leonardo Watch is one of those guys, although whenever he does open his eyes we can’t help but to admire him.

Leonardo Watch was an innocent boy who was chosen by a mysterious entity and given the “All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods” at the cost of his sister’s eyesight. As a result, now he has awesome neon-blue mechanical eyes that look like LED screens and that grant him divine powers. Leonardo’s initial clumsy good-guy image is immediately thrown out of the window once he opens his eyes to show us those babies. We definitely need to get ourselves some of those.

Nai is probably one of the most adorable and kawaii male characters in anime. This may be attributed to his childish and naïve personality in combination to his small scrawny boy look. It can also be because of Nai’s beautiful scruffy white hair which makes a delightful contrast with his powerful scarlet eyes.

Nai is a Niji, which means he has more in common with animals than humans. That is probably the reason why his eyes are of such a strange and lively color, and also why he is so empathic towards animals. Nai is capable of putting his own life at risk for the sake of an endangered animal. Indeed, Nai is as cute as his charming eyes suggest.

Coming next we have a character with probably the best blue eyes in anime, Yato. Yes, that’s definitely a bold statement since there are countless of awesome anime characters with lovely blue eyes (such as Naruto, Nagisa Shiota from Assassination Classroom, Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist and Nanase Haruka from Free!). But, as you’ll see, Yato’s eyes are truly godly.

Of course, we also say that because Yato is literally a god. He’s the God of War and Calamity, although he’s much nicer and more playful than you would expect. Yato’s stunning blue eyes can convey his different moods as they get brighter when he’s angry and his pupils become cat-like. Although Yato also has cat-like pupils when he makes his lovely cat face. Yato can be so kawaii at times. :3

Ciel Phantomhive is definitely another anime boy who has some of the brightest and most mesmerizing blue eyes, although that’s not exactly the reason why he’s in our list. As you probably know, Ciel is an aristocrat child who was kidnapped on his tenth birthday by some fanatic occultists. That’s when he managed to summon the demon we know as Sebastian and signed the Faustian Contract with him.

This contract left a mark on Ciel’s right eye, which is obviously the reason why he’s earned a place at the top of our list. This guy has a glowing purple pentacle on his eye, how badass is that? Ciel’s case of heterochromia is certainly one of the coolest in anime.

Allen Walker is very likely to get an award to the weirdest eyes in anime. He has the strangest scar on his face crossing over his left eye. This red scar has an awesome design, starting above his eye in the shape of a star, going down across his eye over his cheekbone and all the way down his cheek. Allen’s scar is also the source of his super weird Cursed Eye, which gives him the power to see human souls.

Allen Walker’s eyes are usually of a lovely silver color, although whenever his Cursed Eye is active only his right eye remains of that color. His left eye becomes black with a fluorescent pattern featuring two bright red rings around his also black pupil. And as if Allen Walker’s severe case of heterochromia wasn’t already weird and cool enough, we can often see him wearing a strange kind of high-tech monocle.

We seriously doubt this is a surprise to you at all. Every good list of anime eyes has to have Lelouch at least somewhere near the top because, let’s face it, he has the most awesome pair of eyes in anime. Lelouch vi Britannia, more commonly known as Lelouch Lamperouge, was a Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire before being exiled by his father.

It is during Lelouch’s time in exile that he meets C.C. and he acquires the Geass, which is made visible on his left eye and sometimes on both. His natural eye color is of a strong and dark violet, which is already attractive and uncommon enough even for an anime character. However, when his Geass is active his eyes turn a brighter shade of magenta displaying the glowing bird-shaped Geass symbol. Whether you are one of the countless fans of this show or not, you just have to admit Lelouch’s eyes are truly epic.
