It's for that reason that we have decided to provide you with something to hold onto, in those times when you need a reminder of how awesome 2015 anime was. 10. Hidan no Aria AA
- Episodes: 12
- Aired: October 6, 2015 – December 22, 2015
Flying in at number ten on our list of heavy hitters is Hidan no Aria AA. The show stars a young Akari, who finds herself infatuated with one of the worlds strongest gunslingers, Aria Holmes. Akari's dream was to become a world renowned butei much like her subordinate, but due to her extremely low rank, nobody in the school has faith in her. That soon turns around however, when Akari starts to display some unique skills of her own which catch the attention of her sensei Aria. Throughout the show we get to see a great relationship between the two, which develop into a great cohesive team that is full of non stop action.
Hidan no Aria comes in at number ten because from the beginning of the anime, we are rewarded with great action scenes that immediately draw you in for more. The character personalities of both Aria and Akari are polar opposites, which make for more wild action which you'll see later in the series. Akari has a modest and carefree persona, and yet when it comes time to let loose and come to her senpai's aid, she showcases some very fancy yet clumsy maneuvers to save the day. If you enjoy the very cutesy but strikingly powerful cast of female characters, then we definitely suggest you go and watch Hidan no Aria AA.
9. Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst
- Episodes: 10
- Aired: October 10, 2015 – December 12, 2015
Slashing its way into the number nine spot of the top ten fall action anime is Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst. The plot follows characters, Basara, Mio and Yuki who are on a mission to put an end to the onslaught of demons in the demon realm. With the help of Maria's sister Rukia, everyone must come together to stop the madness that is about to ensue.
Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst greets you with a nice warm opening that has a great introduction to the main cast. You are constantly reminded of how corrupt the world around them is, and their determination to see it all come to an end. This receives the number nine entry due to its short ending however. At ten episodes, the action was non stop all throughout leaving you with a taste for more after the series finale. It's for that reason that we recommend watching this series, because it really emphasizes the phrase less is more in every possible way. If you enjoy demon slaying, stunning visuals incorporated with well designed action movements then go and check this one out. You will not be disappointed.
8. Garo: Guren no Tsuki (Garo: Crimson Moon)
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: October 10, 2015 – ongoing
Garo has become a very popular series in Japan, and has also been reproduced into a live action television series. The popularity comes from its historic charm and great use of classic kanji which only further develop the story even more. Taking place in the Heian period of Japan, Raikou is a lone wolf who was left out in the blistering cold to die, since his family didn't care for him. Fortunately, Seimei discovers the young boy and presents him with the power of the golden armor. We are also introduced to Raikou's sidekick Kintoki, who wields two medal bars which can discover the evil inside those around them. These evils are known as horrors, which come from having dark desires in ones heart, and from there the horrors attack everyone around them. Douman, the main villain in the series, is the one who brings these horrors to life to inflict pain upon the commoners in town.
This anime is really cool not only because of its extremely different kanji and great story, but the magical spells and the almighty golden armor really keep you glued to the screen for more action. As each episode progresses, we get to see more and more character development which then leads into more action packed events that will keep you entertained at all times. The comedic factor also makes you stick around as well, since you grow to love and admire all of the main cast. Definitely cast your spell on this one!
7. K: Return of Kings
- Episodes: 13

Making its way into the number seven spot on our list of top fall action anime is K: Return of Kings. K tells the story of a modern Japan, where special “kings” were gifted with extraordinary superpowers. Each clan was represented by colors which had different abilities, one of which, red which defined chaos. The story of K revolves around each clan fighting for their own fate, in hopes that one of them will stand tall as the greatest among all kings in the world.
With a mixture of history and the more modern take on Japan, K: Return of Kings is really exciting as it gives you an interesting look at how superpowers can be formed. The use of colors to represent certain motives was a really cool way to interpret things, since we don't really see many anime that incorporate such ideas. Each scene is filled with sword slashing and spell casting which is more than enough to satisfy any action connoisseurs palate. If a little history mixed in with reality, and tons of special techniques tickle your fancy then make sure to check this one out.

Using his shinki, Yukine, the two must come together along with the rest of their friends to put a stop to the evil that is tearing the world apart.
Noragami Aragoto has seen a fair share of popularity as this is its second season. The first season was more of an introduction to Yato and his character profile, but this time around the story focuses more on Bishamon. While Bishamon has a clear hatred for Yato, he has a wonderful quirky personality but blends it well with sheer confidence in battle. Alongside his close friend Yukine, the two are on a search to find the truth.
There are constant battles all throughout the series, where Yato must defend the community by taking small part time gigs. The battles only grow larger, when Akayashi brings about a curse which turns the shinki against their own will. With a plethora of action scenes, tons of shinki usage, and wonderful visuals we highly recommend watching Noragami Aragoto.

He was hired to be the bodyguard of Kudelia, who is known to be of high royalty. However, things turn ugly when the elite Gjallarhorn unit raids the CGS headquarters. This didn't sit too lightly with Orga, as he took charge of this situation and created the team known as Iron-Blooded Orphans.
