Synopsis

The movie adaptation of the Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu anime.

“Tsurune”... is the sound made by the bowstring when an arrow is released.
For an archer it’s a pleasure to create this sound, and it’s a beautiful sound that will capture people’s hearts and never let go. Even if the same person uses the same bow, the same sound will never be made twice. Every arrow that’s released will produce its very own, unique sound. You’ll only ever hear every sound once.
Minato Narumiya’s life as an archer started with his first encounter with this very sound.
He took up the bow and arrow when he was a young freshman in high school. Through archery, the characters in this movie will have irreplaceable experiences and make lifelong friends.

Minato Narumiya: Yuto Uemura

Minato is a freshman at Kazemai High School. When he was in elementary school, he watched an archery competition with his mom and fell in love with the sport. Due to his own faults he lost his final competition in middle school, leading to a lack of confidence and his decision to step away from archery...

Seiya Takehaya: Aoi Ichikawa

Seiya is Minato’s childhood friend and also a freshman at Kazemai High School. He’s the head of the archery club at school. He’s very talented and even gets to serve as the representative of the new students. He often tries to appear more mature than he is, but when he’s with Minato he sometimes shows a different side of himself. He usually wears glasses, but when doing archery he uses contacts. He has a big dog named Kuma (bear). His family runs a plastic surgery clinic.

Ryouhei Yamanouchi: Shunta Suzuki

Ryouhei is a freshman at Kazemai High School. He’s very friendly and outgoing and has been friends with Minato and Seiya since elementary school. In middle school he transferred schools, but for high school he’s back with his friends. In middle school he became interested in archery and was able to use a bow during a martial arts class, but he didn't properly take it up until high school. He’s the least experienced within the club.

Nanao Kisaragi: Shougo Yano

Nanao is a freshman at Kazemai High School. He’s Kaito’s cousin. He often is there to calm Kaito down after he gets upset with Minato. Nanao often greets people in his own way by saying “Mohaa!” and he dresses very boldly so people often think he’s a flashy guy, but in reality he’s the type who’s able to look at things calmly and make decisions. He’s popular among girls, to the point that he has a fanclub at school. For some reason animals don’t seem to like him.

Kaito Onogi: Kaito Ishikawa

Kaito is a freshman at Kazemai High School. He’s Nanao’s cousin and has been told to keep an eye on Nanao ever since they were young children. He’s had to work hard for things in life. He’s very hot-blooded, and because of that he’s very serious about archery. Thus he won’t acknowledge Minato as a part of the team, since Minato once gave up the bow. He likes to read and has a cat named Lucy. Animals often like him.

Masaki Takigawa: Shintaro Asanuma

Masaki is a mysterious man who Minato met at a dojo in Yuta forest. He’s very beautiful and talented at archery, but can also come across as an old man. Thanks to Tommy the teacher, Masaki becomes the coach for the archery club at Kazemai.
