What You Need to Know:
- It has been confirmed today via the official distributors websites for two winter anime, that each will have an unaired episode.
- The two anime affected are Minami Kamakura Joshi Koukou Jitensha Bu (Sports, School) and One Room (Slice of Life, Mild Romance). Both of the series currently are slated for 12 episode runs. Instead of airing, the unaired epsiode will be packaged as a Blu-ray disc that will go on sale in late summer.
- Fans have been bewildered with some wondering if this is how companies are planning to start making money off of anime by forcing certain episodes into Blu-rays. However what is more likely the reason, is that due to New Years being on a Sunday this year, it was difficult to air anime the first week of January. Thus leaving essentially anything that would have been a full season, one week of time short.
