Chapter 159 of Yakusoku no Neverland has finally given us the line we needed to hear, the queen is confirmed dead. Even luckier, Zazie—the guy who dealt the first major blow to the queen—is in pain but quite alive! Joy is finally filling our survivors’ hearts and despite the worry that the demon realm is going to erupt in chaos at the loss of the tyrannical queen, Sonju knows things might work out.

Emma still made a promise to the unknown demon lord and that could mean humans/demons will forever be apart but Mujika believes this won’t change the world in a negative way. Emma tries to get Sonju—who was a royal blood demon—to be the next king but he knows that task is impossible. His betrayal is known far and wide, no one would respect him or believe in his words. Mujika plans to cool the flames of rebellion slowly but as if demons are doing it without human aid to avoid unnecessary conflict. With some gratitude spread around, our kids leave to make their next move and protect their home.

Our demons seem to have a major plan but we’re left unaware as the reader to what those specifics are. However, our kids know that one final threat does exist and that is the leader of the Ratri clan, Peter Ratri himself. One final showdown seems to be encroaching on us but this major battle will have to wait till early December! Till the fated day of our next big chapter, we should go into why reading chapter 159 of Yakusoku no Neverland is absolutely necessary!

Why You Should Read Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland) Chapter 159

1. Kindness Goes a Long Way

Yakusoku no Neverland has always established that demons and humans are enemies. However, as the series gave us two kind demons, we realized that what mattered the most was the kindness shared between friends. Our good demons and kids have gone their separate ways but their actions have proved no culture is above creating bonds. All it sometimes takes is a nice helping of kindness to pave the way for a new path in life.

2. Two Plans, One Goal

Our survivors are on the move again and while they both have different plans—one being unknown on the demon end—their goal is the same. This rotten world within Yakusoku no Neverland has gone on too long and change needs to come! Emma, Ray and Norman have a path to take to save their kin and so do our demon friends. However, as different as their plans might be, their goal is the same and that finish line is what we can’t wait to see from this incredible series!

Final Thoughts

Yakusoku no Neverland 159 was a chapter full of love, kindness, and gratitude. As sappy as it might sound, this is something that the series desperately needed for our main characters. Throughout the entirety of Yakusoku no Neverland, it seemed as our survivors were forced to endure close calls, horrible loss, and pain from failure. Finally, our kids—and two kind demons—have won a much-needed victory and can finally make the big plays to save this fallen world. With several battles to come maybe the series isn’t at its end just yet. What do you readers think? Is Yakusoku no Neverland ending soon or will it be here for the New Year?
