Discussion Time

Chapter 160 of Yakusoku no Neverland was over quite quickly this week but that doesn’t mean it was an underwhelming chapter. The Ratri clan has shown what humans are capable of doing to their own race. The leader of the Ratri went to the queen herself—prior to her death—in order to undo a mistake he allowed by allowing the children to escape and actually made a quote saying he would end the freedom of those considered food…yeah, he’s far from a nice guy. His mission was to take 2000 troops—all of which were demons—to destroy the humans rebelling against the demon clan and now Norman, Ray and Emma need to hurry and save their friends before trouble arises. Unfortunately, as Norman passes on a message in some unknown language—it looks like how the demons speak—the main base seems to be devoid of most life which could be troubling. Can our kids stop the remnants of the Ratri clan and finally find an end to this unneeded war? Time is truly ebbing closer to a grand finale but for now we shall explore why you absolutely need to read chapter 160 of Yakusoku no Neverland!

Why You Should Read Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland) Chapter 160

1. Human Weakness

In our real world, humanity has often succumbed to desire in order to pave a future they believe is the correct one. This concept isn’t lost in Yakusoku no Neverland’s 160th chapter as we learn what the Ratri clan was planning to do and how they viewed those under them. It’s a shame a fellow human could see another as nothing more than garbage like the head of the Ratri clan does but it keeps this series grounded in a reality we face almost daily. That’s why the horror genre fits so well with Yakusoku no Neverland. Some horror isn’t always fictional…

2. Under Attack!?

Our minds have been so focused on the attack on the capital that we almost forgot about Norman’s main base of operation. Since his departure, the base clearly lost so amazing fighters to the main attack operation meaning it was an easy target for those who wanted to infiltrate. We’re now seeing that to be the reality as the base looks deserted suddenly and ransacked by an unknown threat. What happened inside our kids’ home base? We shall find out soon and, hopefully, the kids who were still in there made it out alive!

Yakusoku no Neverland 160 was quite short for how long it was MIA for. Nevertheless, we have our final major threat in the spotlight…the Ratri clan! Can Emma, Ray, and Norman alongside the other kids face down the Ratri and end this pointless bloodshed? Only the next chapter will tell those answers but until then let’s discuss some thoughts on what will happen next!
