Anime has taught us many things in life. Harems—as great as they may sound—would be more of a headache than not. Being able to revive upon death and restart at a checkpoint isn’t as good as it sounds. Oppai can defy the laws of physics and then lastly, the apocalypse might not be so bad…well chaotic and filled with chaos but interesting to say the least. We learned the latter lesson from 2022’s newest anime Sabikui Bisco as this future-themed anime reveals that the future will indeed be quite exciting. There might be hippo-like creatures with mounted machine guns! Doesn’t that sound just amazing!?
Okay, let us digress. The future sounds like an adrenaline-pumping time but we only enjoy it thanks to series like Sabikui Bisco. Filled with insane action, solid animation, and a cast of zany warriors, Sabikui Bisco is getting overlooked this winter 2022 season and that puts a tear in our eyes here at Honey’s Anime. We highly recommend checking this wickedly fun series out but if you’re caught up we know what you’re here for! Below, you will find our 6 Anime Like Sabikui Bisco list waiting for you to binge, now, and not in the nearby post-apocalyptic future.

Caiman has no memories but isn’t sitting still waiting for them to come back! Armed with the ability to be immune to magic and a giant lizard head, Caiman is driven to kill and maim those who might have the answers he needs to his past. In a dark world filled with magic, death, and places nightmares are made of Caiman’s adventure won’t be easy. Luckily when your head is scarier than most things around you, the world doesn’t seem that dangerous.
Dorohedoro almost feels like a brother to Sabikui Bisco. Both anime are wild and exciting series that are fueled by high-octane action and bloody battles as well as a cast that is quite unique to most series out there! Dorohedoro’s stylish animation and quite unique story really made this a surprising hit of 2020 that did get passed by some otaku out there. Despite Caiman being a bit scary Dorohedoro will appeal to Sabikui Bisco viewers and is waiting on Netflix to binge either alone or with a friend!

3. Trigun
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: April 1998 – September 1998
Despite how goofy and stupid he might seem, Vash the Stampede isn’t a man you want to take lightly. Known for leaving destruction in-depth anywhere he goes, Vash has earned his huge bounty. Trying to search the wastelands of planet Gunsmoke for his next doughnut, Vash’s happy days of silly adventures will soon run their course. A group of hitmen have joined the hunt for the bounty on Vash and now he will need to show these threats why he’s not to be played with!
We know many of you otaku out there are scared to watch older anime—their animation is definitely less eye-popping than modern-day anime—but give an exception to Trigun. Considered one of the best apocalypse anime stories, Trigun stands against the test of time and we rarely meet anime fans who don’t fall in love with Vash and his crew of gunslingers. We 100% recommend those who need an older anime that is like Sabikui Bisco to try out Trigun!

4. Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force)
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: July 2019 – December 2019
A strange phenomenon overtook humanity one day with explosive results. Humans would randomly face spontaneous human combustion but instead of death, they would transform into strange oddities known as Infernals. As time passed, some humans found a way to control their fire powers and gained pyrokinetic abilities in the process. To prevent humanity from living in fear, Japan had an answer to stop the Infernals and those who wished to use their fire abilities for no good. Forming the Special Fire Force under the Fire Defense Agency, these individuals would use their own powers to fight with fire! The heat is about to rise as a new organization begins to rise but with their fire and skills, the Special Fire Force is ready to take any blaze head on!
As much as we’d love to have pyrokinetic powers…let’s be real and realize the world isn’t ready for such explosive abilities. Let us learn from the world of Fire Force—one of our favorite shounen anime of the last decade—that fire in the hands of the lawless and unruly isn’t a good thing. Aside from that moment of wisdom, Fire Force is a stellar anime that is now several seasons long and deserving of being watched by shounen fans. With a cast of cool anime protagonists—and women with large oppai—Fire Force is a fun watch for all who enjoy Sabikui Bisco!

5. Akudama Drive

- Aired: October 2020 – December 2020

Now wrapped up with an Akudama—a criminal considered dangerous—and a strange goal to nab a hefty reward, this ordinary girl is about to face a life-changing event that she isn’t prepared for. Will the reward be worth the danger or should she have stayed in bed this morning…
Anime like Akudama Drive ooze with color, stylish animation, and mature content that isn’t for a young anime fan. Akin to Sabikui Bisco, Akudama Drive might be set in the far future with fewer wastelands and more tech but that doesn’t mean this future is one you want to exist in. Fans of the eye-catching intensity of Sabikui Bisco will want to check out Akudama Drive and see if they can keep up with the hectic action this series offers.

6. Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront)
- Episodes: 12
- Aired: April 2015 – October 2015
New York City…isn’t around anymore and most have only vague memories of it. Now where the hub of the western world stood lies Hellsalem’s Lot a place filled with both former New Yorkers and creatures literally from another dimension. A giant rift opened up one day creating a strange gateway between Earth and the so-called Beyond. In an attempt to live alongside each other peacefully, an organization called Libra was formed to keep the chaos to a minimum. Sadly, when you have superhuman beings and monsters from another world living in your backyard, chaos isn’t easily controlled…
In 2015 a lot of great anime was released like One Punch Man, Prison School, Assassination Classroom, and Food Wars! That’s why we know many anime fans skipped out—by accident hopefully—on one of the lesser-known series Blood Blockade Battlefront. This sci-fi/action anime has a rather bizarre story and cast but that is what we also adore about Sabikui Bisco! Originality in anime should always be coveted and if you want a quite original anime then look no further, Blood Blockade Battlefront has what you need! Also, if you finish—or have finished Trigun—you’d be happy to know Blood Blockade Battlefront is made by the same creator Yasuhiro Nightow!
