Oh wow. This seems so dramatic! A couple who seems normal but have a dark secret? I wonder what it is!

You do realize that this is riddled with ecchi right? It will be drama and romance, but it also has a lot of ecchi as well.

Don’t spoil it for me! I am still reading the manga! I really like Hanabi and Mugi. I feel like Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga shuraba sugiru, Nana, Nisekoi, and Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji are similar.

Well I could see Nana and Ore no Kanojo being VERY similar due to relationship issues but the other two… maybe?

Synopsis

Love that can’t be confessed. Love that never ends. Unrequited love.
Is it such a beautiful thing?

Hanabi Yasuraoka is in her second year in high school, and she is in love. However, while wanting more than anything else to be with the person she loves, she is trapped in the endless cycle of hurting people important to her, and hurting herself along the way. This story is about a love that is as pure as anything.

Three Episode Impression

Describing Kuzu no Honkai's plot as a love triangle feels like an understatement, with the number of one-sided feelings in the show translating into something much more like a hexagon. But the series is thus far doing an amazing job of capturing the difficulties and pains that come along with romance, particularly the unpredictability that can accompany it. Although the series has no qualms in showing, in detail, the physical intimacy between the characters, it's done in such a way that even we can feel their awkwardness, discomfort, and lust, making for some scenes which are very engaging, but at the same time uncomfortable and difficult to watch. Although an overall high standard of voice acting and writing contributes to the atmosphere of the show, one of the real standout things so far is the art style, which is perfect for making characters look either cold and unfeeling or incredibly alive, through their eyes and expressions. The one concern with the series is just how painful it might get to watch, with every character some far having some kind of romantic hardship, all of which only look like they'll get worse as the story unfolds. Looking like it will be the best serious romantic drama series in a while, Kuzu no Honkai's first three episodes have been a great taste of what's to come, but also a warning of the heartache we may have to endure.
