First, this is based off of the FIRST conception which never made it to the west and not the second. Apparently many anime fans didn’t research or read anything online about it and are butthurt about how it is not what they thought it would be aka it’s weird and quirky. To be honest too, this is the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black where anime fans complain about the direction or ecchi moments of the series, but Masou Gakuen and others get passes. Like… sorry you didn't do your research? Anime is anime. If you don’t like it, then don’t watch it. Those are my two cents. Moving on, Conception is VERY quirky for an anime, but that is expected for a being based on a game. Most postings online of people who have played the game say that it’s rather spot on and to be honest, you don’t want to watch the series if it was just dungeon crawling, so the relationships and stories have a heavier focus here. All in all, since I am playing the game, I am interested in seeing how the series plays out.

Itsuki Yuge

Voice Actor: Yuuki Ono

Itsuki is a high school ‘marebito’ (human) who was summoned from ‘Sora’ (Earth) to become the savior of Granbania. He’s cool and serious, but he also has a sense of justice that will not let him leave people in trouble alone. In order to give birth to the Hoshi no Ko (Children of the Stars), he undertakes the challenge of having 12 miko fall in love with him. However, he is a total newbie when it comes to dealing with girls.

Mahiru Konatsuki

Voice Actor: Emiri Katou

Mahiru is a fellow marebito who was summoned with Itsuki to Granbania and was chosen by the astrological sign, Virgo. She is Itsuki’s classmate and childhood friend. Due to the influence of this new world she is in, her body has taken on a form as if she is pregnant and it worries her. She clings to a certain promise the two made together 10 years ago.

Arie

Voice Actor: Aya Endou

Arie is the miko of Aries. For the most part, she works in a church as a nun serving God. She’s like a kind, older sister helping those who visit the church and looking after the children there. In reality however, she has an infinite amount of love for weapons, and somewhere within the church, in an ‘unopenable space’ unknown to others, she has a massive collection of weapons.

Femiruna

Voice Actor: Saki Fujita

Femiruna is the daughter of the most wealthy and famous family in all of Granbania as well as the miko of Leo. Due to being raised in a famous family, she is quite proud and ever since being chosen as a miko, she thinks it is only natural that she preserve the peace of the world. If she is pushed hard, she can tend to give in easily too.

Collette

Voice Actor: Asami Shimoda

Collette refers to herself as Charisma Panchef, is the sole, cheerful manager of a bakery that was founded by her grandfather, and is the miko of Aquarius. She is worried about how to revitalize her store now that a rival bakery has cropped up and affected her business.

Yuzuha

Voice Actor: Makiyo Fujii

Yuzuha is the miko of Aquarius who makes her livelihood as an artist. Reserved, she tends to stay cooped up in her studio. Because she is suffering from sleeping sickness, she always appears drowsy. Rather than sleep in a bed, she sleeps in her beloved coffin, Catherine.

Ruka

Voice Actor: Makiko Oomoto

Ruka is the miko of Cancer and helps out at an orphanage. For a certain reason she tends to put a distance between herself and others when doing anything.

Reone

Voice Actor: Yuriko Yamaguchi

Reone is the miko of Scorpio and works as an imperial physician. Not only does she look after the marebito and miko’s health status, she also works at the academy as a nurse taking care of other students.

Falun

Voice Actor: Kazusa Aranami

Falun is a traveling dancer who works at a pub and is the miko of Capricorn. While on her journey, she is chosen to become a miko and decides to put down roots in the current country.
