WOW if there’s one thing that might turn someone off from Dakaichi, it would be Chunta’s obsession with bedding Takato any and every chance he gets whether it be chasing him around his apartment or threatening him with leaving. This can be too much for some but the combination of how much man-on-man action we get to see combined with Chunta’s love and puppy-like adoration for Takato is perfect for others. Chunta wants sex all the time but he also wants Takato to be happy and will erase any problem or person who threatens that. Being celebrities, there are a lot of threats from jealous costars, romantic rivals, and the paparazzi. Chunta is like a yandere that’s socially aware and kind to others while Takato is a tsundere that still manages to reassure his partner and eventually asks for what he wants.

One thing that sort of cements that Chunta’s love is more meaningful than a current obsession is his ability to plan for the long term. It may not seem that way when he ignores his partner’s embarrassed pleas to wait, but the way he molded his life to be around Takato shows he is planning not for instant gratification but for a long life together. Similarly, the way Chunta handles the paparazzi harassing them by wasting their time for months instead of attacking someone shows he’s always thinking of his and Takato’s future.

While this goes into the OVA, these two even work through an uncomfortable first time together.
