- Beloved Gintama fans, did you know? The Gintama movie Gintama Movie 1: Shinyaku Benizakura-hen released on April 24th, 2010? That's a full 10 years ago which means that today marks the 10th anniversary of this incredibly funny movie. This is also the first Gintama movie and even though it was a remake of the the episode of Benizakura, fans were totally stoked to rewatch it all on the big screen!
- Benizakura-hen depicts the past of Gin-san (main character), Kotarou Katsura (old friend of Gin-san), and enemy but used-to-be best friend Shinsuke Takasugi. The movie focuses on them engaging in battle with each other over the strange magical sword "Benizakura." According to many fans of the movie, the battle scene of the final 10 minutes is considered to be legendary and is one that cannot be missed!
