What You Need to Know:
- There are now a lot more shotgun choices to play with in PUBG, as the Sawed-Off Shotgun makes its debut in Miramar. This new weapon is exclusive to Miramar and so if you want to take advantage of this shotgun’s brute stopping power, be sure to run around the map because there’s sure to be one lying around. It’s a non-crate item meaning it can be found just about anywhere on the map, and it takes the place of a pistol once equipped.
This means that you can equip two shotguns at once giving you an incredibly strong early game advantage, and since the Sawed-Off fires off shots in quick bursts it leaves no room for the enemy to retaliate in close quarters. One to two well placed shots to the upper part of the body and it’s lights out, and it’s decent reload time allows you to get right back into the action in no time.
- It’s a little slower than the S686 but much faster than the pump shotty S1897. The S12K still provides that immediate stopping power but the Sawed-Off almost always guarantees immediate death if you place your shots correctly. The S686 sits at around 25 overall hit damage and so if we had to ballpark estimate the Sawed-Off we’d say it would be on par with it, or slightly higher around 28. Don’t take our word for it of course but from our experience it seemed that once an enemy was in range there was no chance of them surviving for too long. Just don't be like us and try shooting at an Aquarail with it.
The Sawed-Off for sure is a fun weapon to have as a backup, especially when your primary is low on ammo.
This is definitely the best replacement for a pistol for any powerful loadout.
