Honey’s Highlights

Gal-to-Kyouryuu Gal to Kyouryuu (Gal & Dino)
So... is this a Japanese take on Ned's Newt?
Gal-to-Kyouryuu Gal to Kyouryuu (Gal & Dino)
Every episode is a collection of short animations featuring a blue, untalkative, awkward dinosaur.
Gal-to-Kyouryuu Gal to Kyouryuu (Gal & Dino)
It's already the weirdest show of the season too, by far...
Gal-to-Kyouryuu Gal to Kyouryuu (Gal & Dino)
Yeah, this is definitely not for everyone, but it may be interesting. I like experimental anime, so I welcome all things fresh.

Three Episode Impressions

Gal to Kyouryuu mixes a lot of animation techniques to create different stories featuring a ramen-loving blue dinosaur living in our modern world. Although all episodes are around 24 minutes long, they showcase several short adventures that are not necessarily interconnected, sometimes even ignoring Kaede, the title girl who lives with this dinosaur.

We have live-action sections, Flash-style animation, stop motion animation, and you never know what to expect from it. Granted, some people will have a hard time trying to cope with this anime's weirdness, but if you're already familiar with Japanese absurd comedy and love shows like Pop Team Epic, then you know how enjoyable this could get. 3 episodes in, some sketches may definitely feel awkward to watch with a western mentality, but whether you like it or not, it's a niche show that fulfills its purpose. Be the one to judge it!
