I was going to say that the everyday life of Yoshifumi is disrupted by the appearance of a new character. It reminds me of Sakamoto in Sakamoto Desu Ga?. Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan and Gintama too! This is going to be overflowing with gags.

Synopsis

The young intelligent yakuza and head of the Ashigawa Group, Yoshifumi Nitta, has an easy and comfortable, quiet life. But one day, his life completely changes when a girl called Hina arrives in a mysterious object. Threatened by the psychic Hina, he ends up forced to live with her.

Hina runs wild, doing whatever she likes within the group and at school. Nitta is left at his wit’s end, but being good-hearted, he gets stuck always looking after her.

So begins the story of a soft outlaw and a free-spirited psychic girl!

Three Episode Impression

Hinamatsuri is about some psychic girl who appears in the apartment of a Yakuza named Yoshifumi Nitta. She basically goes out of control with her powers and a lot happens that you do not expect. Hina is completely ignorant of the ways of the world, and this yakuza somehow has a heart of gold and takes her in. Then, Anzu, a fellow psychic comes to hunt her down and kill her. After a hysterical battle of wits using their powers and rock paper scissors, Anzu is defeated but stays around in the town. She then lives with a group of homeless men because she does not want to take Yoshifumi’s charity. The comedy is so hilariously on point with this series with Yoshifumi’s straight man act and Hitomi working in the bar, that it is safe to say we are looking at the comedy anime of the season. Every moment has some sort of humor in it and while we are getting a story, it fades as the comedy is the real star of the show. Ikura has become a running gag because Hina loves it and it’s already appeared three times meaning it’s going to stay. If you have not picked up this show, run, don’t walk, to see it. You will be the better for watching it.
