Exclusive Nano Interview
ANiUTa: Your latest project is the opening theme for the anime series Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, the song is titled “Utsushiyo no Yume”. Can you tell us what is this song about, and how does it relate to the anime?
nano: First of all, the song title “Utsushiyo no Yume” literally translates as “Dream of the Real World”. However, the anime is about the Netherworlds. I intended the title to have an underlying meaning, that the Netherworld is indeed a ‘dream’ to those that exist in the Real World. As for the song lyrics, I aimed to capture the mystical, magical, and powerful aspects of the story.
ANiUTa: Which are your top 3 most played and favorite anisongs in general?
nano: There are too many good anisongs to really choose, but off the top of my head, I would say I the songs that really left a deep impact on me in the past are “Beautiful World” / Evangelion, “God Knows...” / Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, “Secret of My Heart” / Meitantei Conan.
ANiUTa: Here is the opportunity to greet and send a message to all your fans around the world who are looking forward to see your work in the anime industry.
nano: Anime has opened so many doors and connected me to so many people. I aim to keep rocking on and open even more new doors and connect with countless more people around the world through my music. I hope to have a chance to sing live for you in concert as well! Music will always be borderless.
