Fortnite Season 6 is the spookiest Fortnite season yet. Unlike the 2017 Halloween update, which included the pumpkin launcher variants of the Grenade and Rocket launchers, the entire map has undergone cosmetic and gameplay changes. What’s more, the Battle Pass has some crazy new additions, also making it what some are calling the best Battle Pass yet. Here’s what’s in store!

100 Tiers, 100 Collectibles

The Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass has the usual 100 reward tier filled with all sorts of unlockable goodies. These unlocks range from character skins in the Epic to Legendary rarity, so equal to roughly 1500 to 2000 Vbucks each. Considering you can spend 950 to 2850 Vbucks initially, it’s quite a value if you’re keen on playing a lot.

Calamity and Dire - The new Selectable Style Skins

Your season level won’t just affect your level and Battle Pass tier unlocks but progress on the two new highlight skins this season. Calamity, a Van Helsing type of rodeo cowgirl, and Dire, a Teen Wolf inspired werewolf skin. Depending on your experience and number of challenges you complete, these skins have different colors, more styles and other upgrades. If you don’t manage to finish the upgrades this season you’ll be able to continue your progress after it ends, so a repeat of the Omega death grind of Season 4 won’t be happening.

Brand new addition: Pets!

If you liked Backbling attainable through unlocks and skin purchases, then you’ll probably fall madly in love with these new Pets! These go on like any other Backbling, but they’re completely animated with their own personalities. There’s dogs, dragons and chameleon variants for you to collect exclusively through the Battle Pass. They change their facial expressions, make noise and follow you around as you fight, explore and soar through the skies. You’ll find yourself going that extra mile just to survive so that your pet lives on!

Music: The old school Fortnite theme is back!

Exclusively in the Battle Pass is the addition of new background music. This includes remixes of the Floss music which plays during the emote as well as the original season 1 & 2 theme that has been a popular request. These are a welcome change as even we admit that we’re getting a little tired of the the current Fortnite theme at this point. We can’t wait to get that classic music playing again through Battle Pass unlocks!

Final Thoughts

There’s so much to see and unlock in the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass. There’s also the new unlockable skin for having completed all 10 weeks of challenge in the Battle Pass, the highest requirement yet. As the challenges are more involved than ever before, this can be quite a challenge, but we’re up for the task. Are you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
