Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara Introduction

Tsukishiro Hitomi is a 17 year old witch living in Nagasaki. At an early age, Hitomi lost the ability to experience real emotions and see colors. Wishing to help Hitomi, her grandmother Kohaku uses her magical powers to send Hitomi to the year 2018 to see if she can find the colors that she lost and find herself as a witch once more.

Why You Should Watch Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara

1. Web of Relationships

If you are a fan of anime involving complicate webs of romance like Nagi no Asukara, you may enjoy Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara, although the relationships do not get nearly as ridiculous as Nagi no Asukara. It’s merely a love square! However, there are many other obvious romantic pairings in the anime.

2. Something different

Whether it is in anime or Western movies, writers like to wrap things up in a neat little bundle as if that’s how life goes. Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara does not do that. Sure, we get resolution for Hitomi and her inability to see colors, but it’s not like Hitomi’s mom comes back and everything is well again. Life isn’t this rose-colored world where everything circles back around and is resolved.

3. Character Growth

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara is an anime about two characters who are experiencing their own problems in life, and in the end, they actually have character growth through each episode as they interact with each other. Hitomi herself does not let her own feelings hold her back from returning home as it would be so easy to stay in a time where you are happy. It’s also easier to stay alone as other people makes things more difficult.

4. Animation

The animation in Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara is absolutely beautiful. The character designs are done well, and the explosion of colors we see in every episode is spectacular. This anime is a feast for the eyes!

Why You Should Skip Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara

1. Predictable

Overall, right from the start, you can really tell how each character will behave and what to expect. The anime is incredibly predictable from each problem that arises to the romances. You won’t be getting any curveballs in this anime, so keep that in mind if you want to watch it.

2. Melodramatic

One of my major complaints is that the anime is overly melodramatic at every corner. I know that when you’re a teenager, everything can feel like the world is ending, but that’s what each episode feels like. The boy you like confess to someone else? You can’t talk to anyone anymore and the sky is falling.

Final Thoughts

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara was a decent anime this Fall 2018. If you want romance, school life, and melodramatic characters, Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara may be the anime for you. What do you readers out there think? Is this the anime for you? Did you enjoy it? Please comment below!
