These ‘incarnates’ as they were known, were revered as patriotic saviors of the North. Time has now passed, and the war has become nothing more than a thing of the past. Now, Incarnates, with their immense powers, are no longer revered, but instead looked at in disdain and referred to simply as ‘beasts.’

Hank is a former commander of Incarnates, traveling to hunt down a fellow Incernate and former war buddy who has lost his humanity, becoming just a mere ‘beast’. That is when Nancy Shaal Bancroft comes charging in and meets Hank, the Incarnate she has set out to kill for killing her father. After learning the truth behind the death of her own father, she decides to join Hank in his journey. It is then that she finally learns the real reason as to why their fight must continue. At the same time, Hank is searching for the existence of a man who is said to turn Incarnates back into humans. Where will the road of traveler Hank, an Incarnate who must carry the sins of killing his own kind, end exactly?

Hank

Hank is a belongs to the Northern Patria Union, and is a former squadron commander of Incarnates. He is a Beast Hunter hunting down Incarnates who are former heroes but have become nothing more than Beasts. He wears a white trench coat with a hood attached. During the civil war, he used a massive weapon resembling a gun and he excels at close combat.

Nancy Shaal Bancroft

Nancy is a girl on a journey to get revenge against the ‘white coat man’ who killed her father, an Incarnate. It is then when she meets Hank in a town in the middle of nowhere and learns the truth behind the deaths of these hero Incarnates from the war, her father’s death, and true death that she requests to travel with him to witness the truth for herself. She may have a neat and clean appearance, but behind that front she uses a massive gun that was a memento from her father, to fight.

Cain

Voice Actor: Yuuichi Nakamura

Cain is a former member of the Northern Patira Union army and a former vice-commander of the Incarnates. A member of the nobility, he became an Incarnate of his own volition. His fate is deeply entwined with that of Han’s. In the peace enjoyed after the civil war, Cain took a different path from the one Hank chose, and openly faces the Beasts.

Elaine

Voice Actor: Mamiko Noto

Elaine is a professor who used to be a member of the Northern Patria Army as well. In order to bring about the end of the long, drawn-out civil war, she was the engineer who turned to forbidden magic to create the Incarnates. Due to her creation of them, the tide of war rapidly improved for them, but due to a certain reason, she herself, feels a certain amount of responsibility for the Incarnates.

Claude

Voice Actor: Kaito Ishikawa

Claude is a young colonel attached to the Northern Patria Union army. The son of a distinguished family, he is the head of a special unit formed to subjugate all Incarnates titled, ‘Coup De Grâce.’ Due to his unique upbringing, he feels more strongly than others about subjugating Incarnates.

Liza

Voice Actor: Youko Hikasa

Liza is a member of the Northern Patria Union army Post-war Processing Informations Bureau and supports Hank. She does worry about Hank, and she’s like an older sister, looking after Nancy who travels with him.
