Taishou Period. Japan. Tanjirou is a kindhearted, young boy who sells coal to make a living. One day, his entire family is killed by demons. What’s worse is that the sole survivor of the massacre, his sister Nezuko, has been transformed into a demon herself. Tanjirou is about to be overwhelmed by his bleak reality, when he steels his resolve to become a “demon hunter” in order to not only turn his sister back into a human, but also to destroy the demon that killed his family.
