Synopsis
At the young age of 11, Kotoko Iwanaga was abducted by yokai for two weeks and asked to become their “Goddess of Wisdom,” a mediator between the spirit and human worlds. She quickly agreed, but at the cost of her right eye and left leg. Now, six years later, whenever yokai have a problem, they make their way to Kotoko for a consultation.
Meanwhile, Kuro Sakuragawa, a 22-year-old university student, has just broken up with his girlfriend after he fled alone when the two encountered a kappa. Seeing this as a chance to become closer to him, Kotoko makes her move. However, she quickly realizes there is something more to Kuro. She asks for his help in solving the various issues presented by the supernatural, all the while hoping that he will eventually reciprocate her feelings.

Kotoko Iwanaga: Akari Kitou
Kotoko is a petite, adorable university student whose trademarks are her cane and beret. She was kidnapped by monsters, often referred to as ‘demons’ or ‘monsters’ when she was eleven years-old. She lost one eye and one leg, and in exchange, became the god of wisdom for the human and supernatural worlds. Ever since, these monsters have approached her with their problems so she can solve them. She falls in love with Kurou the moment she sees him in the hospital and is constantly trying to get him to date her.
Kurou Sakuragawa: Mamoru Miyano
Kurou is a graduate student at the same university at Kotoko and is the recipient of all of her one-sided advances. He looks average and quiet, but ever since he had a mysterious encounter as a child, he’s been in possession of a unique body that these otherworldly beings hate and fear. While he does respect Kotoko who follows him everywhere, he kindly looks after her. They continue to work together to solve these ‘monster’ issues.
Saki Yumihara: Misato Fukuzono
A tall, gorgeous police officer. She works in the traffic division at a local police department. She was dating Kuro with the intention of marrying him, but the kappa incident led to her calling it off. She came to Makurasaka City for her job, but now she can’t forget Kuro. She spends her days living in fear of yokai.
Rikka Sakuragawa: Mayumi Sako
Kuro’s older cousin. A beautiful woman with a courteous personality and a slender figure. She has been hospitalized at the same facility where Kotoko receives treatment for many years.
