Mikado Ryugamine is a highschool student who leads an uneventful life, spending a fair amount of his time chatting with others online. He isn’t quite satisfied with his ordinary existence, and so he moves to Ikebukuro, the city where the series is set. While he set out in search of adventure and change in his life,  he gets more than he bargained for in both departments.

Though an Aries can generally maneuver around obstacles in their path with great ease, their tendency towards childish naiveté can be a major hindrance.  Mikado, though resourceful and intelligent, definitively displays this Aries tendency. Under his soft-spoken and sometimes immature exterior, he hides a classic Aries stubborn streak and will of steel.

Atsushi Ohtani is one of the best basketball players on his school’s team, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at him. In a sport where height is an invaluable advantage, he comes up short. His diminutive stature has often been the basis of ridicule and bullying, and so it’s a bit of a sensitive subject for him. When he is pegged for dating the tallest girl in his class, it strikes a nerve and causes complication in his social life.

Aries are known for their brash nature - they are a fire sign, after all. Ohtani is generally short tempered, but like many Aries, this is just a dark side of a passion and dedication. When they care about a person or set a goal, they’re totally invested.  You don’t have to wonder what an Aries is thinking - they’ll usually tell you. Alex is an extremely loyal and dependable person  to those he cares about. Those born under the Aries star sign can have a larger than life presence that can intimidate others and make them hard to close to. Rui Hanazawa is a member of the most powerful social circle at a prestigious, elite high school. At first glance, Rui isn’t a typical Aries at all. Where this sign is usually loud and outspoken, Rui is shy and reserved. However, when he does open his mouth he is very explicitly Aries - blunt and to the point. His loyalty to his friends is also consistent with this star sign; unparalleled, causing him to put the needs of the important people in his life ahead of his own. His sheltered life has also resulted in him being very naive at times, which again, is a common Aries tendency.

Kurapika is the last remaining member of his clan, and because of this a great deal of responsibilities fall on his shoulders. He is charged with avenging his family, and responsible for retrieving their sacred items. At the same time he is very young, and though determined, successfully completing these tasks will not be easy.

A person born under the astrological sign of Aries values their personal relationships highly, and threatening or causing harm to those they hold dear may unleash innate dark qualities.  Kurapika has endured a great deal of hardship that directly involved this kind of trauma. As a result, he is very guarded, but this isn’t the only vice this sort of betrayal can bring out in an Aries. Instead of simply being hot headed, when provoked, his anger is completely ruthless.

Dearka Elsman is a respected Gundam pilot and veteran, with a bit of an arrogant streak, and temper to boot. Sakura Kinomoto, also known as Cardcaptor Sakura is a magical girl who relies on the powers of enchanted cards in combat. She has been charged with the responsibility of returning these cards to where they belong, but must do so by capturing them through combat, once at a time. It would be no easy task for the average young girl,  but luckily she may have enough determination to see her goal through to the end.

The charm of an Aries lies in their bright energy and passion. Sakura is a cheerful girl with lots of energy, and a positive outlook - one that carries her through many trials and tribulations. However, she shares the Aries predisposition to being childish and downright silly at times. Though immature at times, like any Aries she doesn’t give up easily - and this determination is one of her greatest gifts as a magical girl.

Sakura Haruno is a trained ninja who specializes in healing tactics. Though not innately physically strong is extremely intelligent and has impressive chakra control from the get-go. Despite her weaknesses, she is dedicated to improving herself and becoming stronger through strengthening her abilities. She is extremely loyal to her friends, and will fight to protect them at all costs even if it means putting herself in danger.

Sakura’s unwavering loyalty to her friends is very much in line with the typical Aries ethos, as is her stubborn conviction towards achieving her goals. Even though she has a good relationship to those that are close to her, she often hides her feelings. An Aries may do this if they feel it’s in the best interest of others, or if they fear getting hurt - often, Sakura puts her feelings on the back-burner of her life for these reasons, even when it is ultimately painful or inconvenient for her to do so.

Eren Yeager has dedicated his life to avenging his family - something he decided to do when he was too young to fully comprehend what it would really mean. As soon as he was old enough, he joined the military to pursue that goal. Though doing so will mean overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds, joined by his closest childhood friends, he won’t be easily deterred from setting things right.

Eren is fiercely loyal when it comes to his friends, and this dedication often showcases itself in combination with his tendency towards impulsivity and a short temper. Like many Aries, he has zero tolerance for those that threaten the people that he cares about and will jump to their defenses without a second thought, often putting himself in danger.

Naru Narusegawa is a resident at Hinata Inn, along with the rest of the main characters in Love Hina, and is the main love interest of the series protagonist, Ketaro. She is strong-willed, and known to have a very short temper. She is a highschool student who takes studying and her academic career extremely seriously, and is a genuine, kind-hearted person.

Naru comes with all the fire and inner strength of a typical Aries. She is a textbook example of this star sign - from everything to the short temper and jealousy, to the way she handles her relationships and communicating her feelings.  While falling victim to many Aries vices, she also showcases many of the sign’s strengths. She is a strong person, who inspires the admiration of people around her - as every Aries has the capability to do, under the right circumstances.
