Top 10 Male Aries Anime Characters

As a fire sign, Aries are one of the most temperamental signs in the Zodiac. At their best, they are determined and confident individuals who crave honesty and enthusiasm when approaching relationships. However, they can be impulsive and mean, not to mention short-tempered. These driven individuals born between March 21st and April 19th always give every situation their all. While they may often be moody they tend to take on leadership roles because of their outgoing personality. Well represented by the ram, this sign will often push through others in order to attain their goals and will not be hindered by any that stand in their way.

Many anime characters also exhibit the traits of the Aries and many take on leadership roles from a young age. We will examine the characters born in between the time frame of the Aries and analyze how well they represent the traits. Like us, they will exhibit both the positive and negative aspects of the Aries and this will allow them to have a depth of character that is vital to them having a place on our list. This critical view also allows us to look deeper into the anime as a whole, as these characters provide a breath of fresh air and leadership that is vital in driving any anime forward. Without further ado, we give you the top 10 male Aries characters in anime.

10. Kousei Arima from Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April)

Kousei is likely the wimpiest Aries on this list. He gives up his passion for the piano and blames himself for his mother’s death. However, when he finds inspiration in Kaori Miyazono, he finds that expressing his talent at the piano is not a selfish venture but rather one he should find solace in and escape through. This freeing act allows Kousei to go from the feeble and weak character that we initially see and blossom into a more impulsive and courageous character that exemplifies true Aries’ traits.

9. Tsukitachi from Karneval

  • Episodes: 13
  • Air Date: April 2013 - June 2013

Tsukitachi is an extremely optimistic individual. As captain of the First Ship of Circus, he rarely takes any of his duties seriously. He seems almost fake in his personality because of his seemingly careless attitude. Tsukitachi is very observant and despite his laziness, he constantly knows what is happening and is aware of the world around him. Despite his rank, he often slacks off and does not perform his duties adequately. This puts him towards the bottom of our Aries list because although he is driven, his laziness is generally despised by the common Aries.

Despite his disdain for the people of his town, he often seeks to protect them, even if it means resorting to violence. However, he is extremely faithful to his friends because of the devotion and honesty that they have shown them throughout their lives. Eren is an ideal Aries that shows true skills of leadership and determination.

Final Thoughts

With so many personalities on this list, it can be difficult to place them all. Aries are known for being leaders, they approach every situation with passion and enthusiasm despite the obstacles that stand in their way. Because of this enthusiasm, it can lead them to being aggressive and impatient when it comes to actually dealing with their situations. However, the ideal Aries will be able to balance these traits and represent them in social situations as well as on the battlefield.
