Starting strong at number 10, we have Hiroshi Odokawa from Odd Taxi. Odd Taxi was definitely one of the hidden gems of the year because of its unassuming nature that instantly captures our hearts. Of course, the main protagonist’s role in the plot was the most interesting and as we got to know Odokawa, we instantly loved his eccentric characteristics. Even though he’s as normal as it gets (at least in the beginning), we found ourselves wondering how this quiet taxi driver was pulled into a murder case. As the anime unfolded and we got to know more about Odokawa and his past, we got to take a sneak peek at how complicated Odokawa really is. We love Odokawa for his simple nature and his mysterious past that made him who he is. We won’t spoil too much though but this is one character that we won’t forget for a while!

If we could describe Tadano Hitohito with two words, it would be “soft boy”. Known for his sweet yet so oblivious nature, this deuteragonist from Komi Can’t Communicate captured our attention from day one. While Komi is a beauty and we were definitely simping for her from the very first moment, there was something very sweet about Hitohito that we couldn’t ignore. His good-natured heart was what spoke to us more than anything else. His goal of making sure that Komi finds 100 friends and the way he dedicates himself to that cause is one of the many reasons that we love Hitohito. Even though his looks don’t necessarily meet bishounen standards, we still think that his goodness of heart makes him one of the most attractive anime boys of 2021.

Next up, we have possibly one of the sweetest and most unique princes that we’ve come across in anime, Prince Bojji. Prince Bojji is deaf and because of his disability, he is dubbed as a weak candidate to the throne. However, Bojji actually has all the qualities it takes to be a good king from his kind nature to a fault and his excellent observational skills that enable him to know what his kingdom truly needs. Even though he is deaf, he is also considered dumb but this is not wholly true for Bojji who uses speech in his own way to communicate. His hyper-awareness for the people of his kingdom and his empathetic nature show his true character and we simply adore Prince Bojji. No matter who is against him, we at Honey’s Anime will be rooting for his success as he strives to be a good king and be accepted by his people.

Reki Kyan is your typical cool kid on the streets but with a heart that he wears on his sleeve. Reki is attractive with his red tousled hair accompanied by his blue headband that seems to mimic his moods very well. Complete with a typical skater-look, Reki looks like one of the kids that only cares about skateboarding if you met him on the street. However, when you get to know him, you’ll realize that he’s actually incredibly kind and thoughtful of his friends. Moreover, his carefree nature and his love of skateboarding go hand in hand to reveal much depth in his character. Reki is also on the lazy side of the spectrum where he puts in minimal effort to get the grades he needs to pass and doesn’t put in much effort anywhere outside of skateboarding. But that’s exactly why we find him relatable and lovable, making him one of the most relatable boys on this list.

If you haven’t heard about the horde of exceptionally good-looking characters in That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime, you’re in for a treat. Almost everyone in the anime has bishounen characteristics with a perfectly flawless face, luscious hair that’s tousled just right, and some breathtaking abs. However, one character that caught our hearts this year was the mysterious Diablo who was introduced to us in Season 2 when Rimuru reawakened as a demon.

Diablo’s very nature is mysterious as not much is known about him. However, one thing we do know about him is that he’s insanely strong. No, we’re not kidding. His powers are something to be feared by everyone. However, the twist is that Diablo is enamored by Rimuru who is stronger than him. This reveals the simp in Diablo that’s downright adorable like a dog. With black hair that has a streak of red and gold and eyes that scream hell, Diablo is definitely one of the hottest-looking boys on this list.

If you’re into the intelligent types, you’re in for a treat because Ishigami Senku is a very cute know-it-all. No, we’re not kidding, Senku actually remembers how long Earth had been petrified. With blonde hair that has green streaks and an eccentric personality that accompanies it, Senku knows how to make literally everything. From cellphones to a telescope, Senku knows exactly how to mix what to get anything he desires. With exceptional knowledge and a caring heart that won’t harm any humans with this knowledge, Senku is a firm believer in humanity. This is amazing because most eccentric guys usually go off the rails and decide that humanity is not worth saving. That’s why we think that Senku deserves to be on this list with his caring nature, eccentric knowledge, and very cute face. Of course, this guy actually accomplished making ramen and cola in the stone age which definitely sounds like an ideal date, doesn’t it?

Next up, we have a rich boy with a heart of gold. Is it just us or did the list for this year seem to have many soft, boy next door vibes? Tamahiko Shima is the deuteragonist and the love interest in what we consider the most wholesome romance anime of 2021, Taisho Otome Fairy Tale. When you first meet Tamahiko, he is portrayed as a jaded pessimist who is simply waiting for his death. While this in itself is one of the bizarre attractive features of anime boys, we realize that there is more to Tamahiko than what meets the eye.

In truth, Tamahiko is always hopeful that things will change and that someone will come and save him. Of course, the angel sent from heaven to save him is Yuzu. When Tamahiko first meets Yuzu, he sticks to his pessimistic persona but still cares for Yuzu by covering her with his hanten, a traditional Japanese winter coat. This gesture was enough for Yuzu and for us, the audience, to understand that Tamahiko simply lacked care in his life and that’s why he sticks to his pessimistic persona to protect himself.

With Yuzu’s help, we unlock a whole new depth to Tamahiko where he cares a lot about people, even though they haven’t been kind to him. His adorable, awkward nature that comes out when he trusts someone is very endearing to watch. His generous nature that does not bear any ill will against the villagers who shunned him instantly captivated us and we know at Honey’s Anime that we will never forget this wonderful character. It definitely doesn’t help that he’s really attractive with his pale skin, emerald eyes, and fluffy brown hair.

We’re getting closer to the top and at number 3, we have one of the best husbandos on this list, Draken from Tokyo Revengers. When we first meet Draken, he looks like a thug. With a signature tattoo of a dragon etched on his head and a braid, Draken looks scary when we first meet him. But later, we realize that he is extremely kind-hearted even when he’s mean. Draken deeply cares for his comrades and will do anything to help them. Driven by his strong sense of justice, however, Draken will always stick with what’s right but he won’t abandon his comrades when they’re in the wrong. He simply supports them and helps them to become better.

Moreover, Draken can kick ass! He’s extremely strong as the vice-captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang and Draken loves meeting strong opponents and having a good fight. Known as “Mikey’s Heart”, Draken truly thinks logically and deeply before being simply led by his emotions. And we have to admit, with his nonchalant attitude of being mean to the people he cares (a tsundere at heart), Draken is one of the best boys of 2021 because his heart made us fall in love with the Tokyo Manji Gang.

At number two, we have Miyamura from Horimiya! Miyamura is definitely one of the most loved boys of 2021. As one of the protagonists of Horimiya and the love interest of Hori, Miyamura, at first glance, seems like a quiet nerd who is very anti-social. But there’s always a twist: Miyamura is actually a friendly and laid-back guy with a ton of piercings and tattoos! The only reason he looks like a quiet nerd is because he’s busy covering up all his piercings and tattoos. When Miyamura first meets Hori, she doesn’t recognize him. With his bangs pulled back into a small ponytail leaving the rest of his long hair loose and a lip piercing, Miyamura looks hot with a lean body that is etched with his tattoos. But there’s more! When he cuts his hair, he suddenly turns into a cute boy next door and we simply can’t help but simp for him!

Moreover, Miyamura’s shyness and awkwardness around people he doesn’t know is fun to watch because he wants to make a good impression on people. His observing and caring nature are revealed when he’s around Hori and we don’t know about you but that screams “boyfriend material” to us. He also complies with Hori’s weird fetishes that we see in the anime. Who wouldn’t want a boyfriend like him?

And, at the very top, we have…*drum rolls* Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen! If you haven’t heard of Gojo at this point, you’re probably living under a rock. But we’ll tell you. With icy blue eyes and pale white hair that perfectly matches it, Gojo makes heads turn wherever he goes because of his looks. In fact, Jujutsu Kaisen garnered many fans at first simply because Gojo was in it. With some killer abs that show off his strength, Gojo is the entire package as far as looks go.

But that’s not all. His personality is immensely laid-back (can this guy get any sexier?)and playful, especially with his students. Usually seen with a blindfold, Gojo’s very powers are contained in his eyes. As anime goes, this is a strong indication that he is the strongest person in the entire anime. With extreme confidence in himself that simply makes him more attractive, Gojo’s jujutsu are nothing to laugh at with Immense Cursed Energy and Reverse Cursed Technique being his strongest powers that can cause some serious damage. We know what you’re thinking: “Can this guy get any better?” We won’t spoil too much but this blue-eyed boy is definitely the most simp-worthy man in this entire list!
