Later He would become part of the world and join the exorcists.
The beginning of the vampire myths started from common fear of the unknown. While the legend of Vlad the Impaler inspired the most commonly known vampire, Dracula, he was just a normal twisted man, who so happened to enjoy impaling criminals on sticks to strike fear into the hearts of criminals. The impaling didn’t kill the criminals, they survived for several days. It was a very good reason to be frightened and claim that Vlad was the spawn of the devil.

Seraph of the end is the newest vampire anime to hit the TV screen. Without even watching a second episode, I know the vampires within it are worthy of this list. They show the timelessness that vampire’s experience. With enough time anyone can come up with a plan that cripples the entire world.

Not all humanity is lost with some vampires. They slowly loose it over the years that they are undead. However, this is not true for every vampire. 1. Alucard from Hellsing
- Episodes: 13 +OVAs
- Aired: October 2001 – January 2002
Sometimes, humans need help with the creatures of the night. When this happens, the British government calls on the Hellshing organization, whom in return, send in their secret weapon, a vampire. The vampire that they send in is Alucard, a creature of legend, who is under contract with Integra Hellsing, the leader of the Hellsing organization. If you see his smile, you better hope he isn’t there to kill you, or you are already dead.
The last vampire in this list is by far the prime example of how a vampire should be portrayed in anime, film, manga or books. Alucard is not the oldest vampire, but he is by far the most powerful vampire. Throughout his 581 years of life, he has gone by many, many names. The one that you will recognize is one I’ve already mentioned once in this list, Dracula. He is the embodiment of all things vampire and his response to sunlight is, "Sunlight is not my greatest enemy... I just HATE it!" (Note: no sparkles)
Vampires are by far the most powerful creatures of the night. Throughout mythology, they have used various methods of controlling their human flock, even employing the use of werewolves to guard their layers during the daylight. With Anime, the true power of a vampire can be realized far better than any film, for with anime, vampires have a freedom that is only limited by the imagination.
