What You Need to Know:

• In the west, the term otaku is usually assumed to mean die-hard fans of manga and anime, but here in Japan the term can refer to any kind of passion, and there are many different types!
• Although it’s often assumed that all otaku are shut-ins who couldn’t get a date even if they tried, it’s too early to give up hope! From February 26 to 29, My Navi Woman surveyed 444 people between the ages of 22 and 39 to find out which types of otaku they thought would be fun to date.
• So which type won? And where do we anime otaku stand? Let’s get to the results and find out!
