Can Masato enjoys an online game world when his mom is always two steps ahead of him and still clinging onto him!?

Why You Should Watch Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Nikai Kougeki no Okaa-san ga Suki desu ka?

1. Motherly Comedy

Very rarely are isekai stories aware of their own ridiculous nature. That’s why we loved how Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? realizes its odd nature of making a world where you’re trapped with your mom—who also is very attractive and overly sexualized—and runs with it in every gag/joke. Seeing Masato struggle to avoid odd ecchi scenes with him mom might make for some shocking—and strange—events but it also will make you laugh constantly at his expense.

2. Hilarious Cast

The cast of oddballs in Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? is easily one of its better elements. From the constantly silence prone mage Wise to the cute—but internally deranged—healer Medhi, our party of “heroes” is goofy but all too hilarious. Even after seeing Wise be silenced for the 100th time doesn’t ever devalue its humor for some reason and we always silently pray for her to one day be useful…but she probably won’t be.

3. Respect Your Parent!

If there is one take away from the narrative in Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? it would be to respect your moms, they can be quite fierce! Mamako might be extremely overpowered—to the point of annoyance—but she’s a mom and just like our real moms, they can be pretty tough when the going gets rough! Needless to say, Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? works to prove the hero of the story doesn’t always have to be the child. It can also be the mom and in this case Masato…your mom is way cooler than you!

Why You Should Skip Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Nikai Kougeki no Okaa-san ga Suki desu ka?

1. Mom…STOP BEING SO OP!

Our biggest gripe with Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? is the fact that Mamako is as powerful as she was in the series. While we get the whole “mom” powers she has—like how she glows when her son shows her love—it doesn’t make any encounter in this isekai worth anything. Challenging bosses, tough villains and tough quests all fall to the wayside when Mamako enters into the building and uses her swords/powers to defeat them with simple moves.

2. Weak Animation/Art

Anime isekai nowadays are a dime a dozen so there needs to be strong differences in a series to overcome the oversaturated market. Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? doesn’t accomplish this in terms of its art/animation which are both pretty weak. Is it the worst anime of the summer 2019 season? No, but it isn’t anywhere near the words good or okay.

3. Weak Ending

Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? ending was kind of weak if we’re being honest. While a second season could happen—there is apparently an OVA planned—for now Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? is only set at one season and the ending doesn’t make us care if a second comes out sooner or later. The ending felt too rushed and even the final plot explained feels forgettable making Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka?’s ending overall pretty shallow.

Final Thoughts

Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? was an okay show that did an adequate job of being silly and having a nice heartwarming message sewn in. Other than that though, Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? isn’t something we’ll be talking about in the future as it’s a series you watch once and then kind of let it fade into obscurity.
