Synopsis
This is a story about vampires going extinct.
It takes place in France in the 19th century. Noe is a young vampire who set off to Paris in order to find a magical book, known as “Book of Vanitas”, that can heal the curse of the vampires. On his way there, Noe comes across an incident and amidst all the chaos meets the very person he was looking for - Vanitas. Vanitas is a human who calls himself a doctor, whose expertise is vampires. And, naturally, he holds the book Noe was looking for...

Vanitas: Natsuki Hanae
Vanitas is a human who has inherited the “Book of Vanitas'', that belonged to the Vampire of the Blue Moon. He claims to be an expert on vampires. He is ready to do whatever he can to reach his goal and has a tendency to get others involved in his affairs.
Noe: Kaito Ishikawa
Noe is a young vampire who set out from where he lived in the countryside, to go to Paris to find the “Book of Vanitas.” He’s a skilled fighter and often moves and does things depending on how or what he feels.
Jeanne: Inori Minase
A young vampire who is known as “The Hellfire Witch.” Contrary to her beautiful looks, she was once feared by other vampires as a Bourreau, a vampire who hunts down their fellow kin. Now, she is Luca’s knight (chevalier).
Luca: Shino Shimoji
A young, courteous vampire who is second to the Vampire Queen. He travels alongside Jeanne in search of the Book of Vanitas to save his brother.
Dominique: Ai Kayano
The daughter of the prestigious noble vampire family de Sade. Her father is the lord of the otherworld, Marquis de Sade. She’s a well-mannered vampire with distinguished looks who cares about everything. She’s a childhood friend of Noe’s.
Teacher: Akira Ishida
He's Noe's teacher and is the one who sent Noe the letter to find "Vanitas's carte".
Murr: Miyu Komaki
Murr is a white fluffy cat Noe always brings along. Her charming features are her odd eyes and the ribbon on her neck.
Dante: Taro Kiuchi
Dante is a young informant often used by Vanitas. Vanitas says that Dante will do just about anything if offered enough money.
