Several years have passed since the war that has left deep scars on the hearts of people.
The world has slowly found its way towards peace,

is trying to live in a world where that person does not exist.

Violet Evergarden: Yui Ishikawa
The main protagonist of the series. A girl with blond hair and blue eyes, pretty outlook and clean voice. She was a girl solider of Leidenschaftlich during the time of great war, under the command of Gilbert. She had tremendous combat power that is equivalent to one whole squad but lost both of her arms during the great war. After the war, she is works as an Auto Memory Doll, a ghostwriter at C.H Post company where one of her guardians, Claudia, owns.
Claudia Hodgins: Takehito Koyasu
A former soldier of the Leidenschaftlich army and head of the C.H Post company. Also, a friend of Gilbert from the military academy.
Gilbert Bougainvillea: Daisuke Namikawa
Commander of Violet during her military service. When he was 25 years old, he was forced by his brother to take Violet and told to treat her as a tool. However, while taking care of a girl who could not even speak, he later became to love her.
