Just as we thought folks! Our kids may have won a big victory for humanity in the demon world but their battle is only nearing the climax now. In chapter 161 of Yakusoku no Neverland, we learn that Norman’s base was indeed hit by a surprise attack and it came from none other than the Ratri leader and his 2000 soldiers. Besides the fact that these demon warriors are literally huge—easily some of the bigger demons we’ve seen—those who didn’t perish and were able to escape learned their friends were taken away. Where you may ask? Simple, back to Grace Field House! Ray and Norman are almost momentarily paralyzed by this news but Emma shows her fortitude and almost shrugs the news off as if it was no big deal.

With a plan to rescue the base’s members and those our trio left behind long ago, the team decides to venture back to where it all started. What awaits our children in what most likely will be the final battleground for the series? Let that anticipation flood your senses readers as next week can’t come any sooner and we’re truly excited to see the climactic war that’s been far too long coming. In the meantime, here’s why you can’t pass up this amazing chapter of Yakusoku no Neverland!

Why You Should Read Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland) Chapter 161

1. One Victory, One Draw

Emma, Ray, and Norman have all dealt a decisive blow against the demons by killing their queen but the victory celebration was cut a bit short. News of Norman’s base being attacked reaches our kids and while they didn’t seem to suffer any losses—as far as we know—it can be considered a draw seeing as how they have them hostage. However, the biggest surprise of chapter 161 of Yakusoku no Neverland wasn’t in the base’s surprise attack but where the survivors were taken…

2. Returning to Grace Field House!?

It has been easily 100 chapters since we last saw our kids fight to escape their doomed fates. Now, Emma, Ray, and Norman must venture back home with their new allies to save those left behind and those taken against their will to this false looking paradise. What nightmares await in the grand finale? We have some thoughts as always but we’ll only truly know in 7 more days…

Yakusoku no Neverland 161 has set the final stage for our kids. Despite their desperate attempts to escape the hell that was their former orphanage, this return was destined. Many kids were left behind in order for the stronger/older to escape and they have been waiting patiently for rescue.
