However, Hatchi has stolen away on his ship! The two couldn’t be more different, and now they’re traveling in space together!
Major Similarities Between Tiger and Bunny and RobiHachi
1. The Main Characters Are Polar Opposites.
Both Tiger and Bunny and Robihachi feature a comedy duo that is completely opposite of each other. They similarly feature the character archetypes of a laid-back goofball older guy and a no-nonsense young man. Of course, they’re going to get on each other’s nerves and it’ll make for some great one-liners and comedic scenes.
2. The Themes Are Crazy.
If you’ve watched Tiger and Bunny, then you know that the show is all about superheroes having their deeds televised by private sponsors. However, someone had a crazy idea to put two polar opposite heroes together. It’s completely different from most Western cartoons. Similarly, RobiHachi will make you pause and go, “What just happened?” It’s very lighthearted and about two different guys stuck together on a space adventure to a legendary planet. Quite a bit out of the ordinary!

However, only Arata knows that it’s a misunderstanding because he can understand and communicate in the Another’s language! Now he has to use his newfound abilities and deal with the craziness of the supernatural world.
Major Similarities Between Tiger and Bunny and Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin (Midnight Occult Civil Servants)
1. There’s a Good Mix of Comedy and Seriousness.
While there is comedy interspersed throughout both anime, both do a good job of making sure that there’s a balance of gags and jokes with the seriousness that comes from their jobs. After all, Tiger and Bunny are superheroes while Arata is a civil servant and a hard-working member of society.
2. The Chemistry Between the Main Characters Is Great.
More often than not, two people who are a decade or more apart in age are going to be pretty dissimilar. Still, that’s what makes watching Tiger and Bunny so much fun. It’s *because* of how different they are that it is so great to watch. While Arata and Kohaku aren’t that different in age (seemingly, since Kohaku is an Another), they do make a great comedic pair. Kohaku plays the childish and oblivious youngster while pulling off the mysterious and old youkai flawlessly. Arata, while young, is a dutiful, hard worker and often easily gets frustrated with Kohaku’s antics.
