Dressed to Kill: Top 5 Iconic Anime Outfits of Winter 2021

Picking the most iconic outfits of the season is a difficult task but someone had to do it. We at Honey’s Anime took it upon ourselves and we now present you with the flashiest getups of the season. Pecks, cleavage, street style, and covid couture, we’ve got it all. Let’s take a look!

5. Venus’ Peacock Outfit - Tenchi Souzou Design-bu (Heaven’s Design Team)

Venus is known for her extravagant taste, evident in her creations. In episode 8, for a special request for an animal that uses “courting that causes a throb” she gives it her all. Venus enlists her colleague Shimoda as a prop while she gets to be the real star. She ends up completing another request, one for a “bird that forms a dance team with its bad student”. We think Venus is a Leo, so she has to be the center of attention at all times and her outfit made heads turn.

4. Miyamura’s Punk Outfit - Horimiya

Izumi Miyamura shows up as a shy nerd but he’s hiding his many piercings and tattoos at school. How he presents outside of school is a different story. Hori doesn’t even recognize him when they come across each other. We’ve got a soft spot for the softest boy in all his different looks, but we have to admit his punk getup complete with his sexy lip piercing and j-rock outfit stole our hearts.

3. Cherry Blossom’s Sakura Ninja Outfit - SK∞ (Sk8 The Infinity)

It was difficult picking only one outfit from our favorite skater boys, but Kaoru aka Cherry Blossom won. His sakura ninja outfit is elegance and sexiness incarnate. Cherry Blossom hides his face and this adds to his allure. Not to mention that in our minds and hearts, Matchablossom is canon!

2. Whatever Hyoga Has Going On - Dr. Stone: Stone Wars

We’ve got a mask, cape, thigh highs, bare chest getup for Hyoga, Dr. Stone’s real villain. After Tsukasa forms a temporary truce with Senku, Hyoga shows his true colors. Can we take him seriously, though, with this super extra outfit? His bare 12-pack is distracting. Whatever he has going on, it got us hooked. Add some color and this could be a character straight out of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure!

1. Ai Ooto's Yellow Hoodie - Wonder Egg Priority

Ai’s adorable hoodie sports a sunflower on the front, a big pocket, and a bow on the back. Ai’s bright, kind and supportive personality is reflected in her staple outfit. Her trademark colors are yellow and blue, like her differently colored eyes. Her oversized hoodie is the perfect covid couture. We hope that CloverWorks gets the message and releases Ai’s hoodie as merch soon.

Final Thoughts

Here are the most iconic outfits of Winter season 2021! Honorable mentions go to Kon’s early 2000s emo getup in Kemono Jihen, Doctor Chihiro Chimatsuri’s bombastic mini dress in Vlad Love, and Miya’s cat hoodie from SK8: The Infinity.
