What You Need to Know:
- By know, if you have been into anime, manga, and light novels, you should know that Dungeon Meshi is a very popular manga. It is written by Ryoko Kui and has been published in the Kadokawa manga magazine Harta since February 2014. It is also licensed by Yen Press and is available under the title Delicious in Dungeon. If you have not heard of the series, just know that Japanese users frequently rank it as one of the top series that they want to see animated.
- Yen Press introduces the series as the following: When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member! They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands! - We got excited earlier when we thought that it had finally been announced that it was getting an animation. However, it was not an anime, but a stop motion promotional video. Dungeon Meshi really cannot catch a break. The stop motion video is an ad for the upcoming fifth volume slated to go on sale on the 10th this month. Titled “Dungeon Meshi ~Senshi no kantan cooking~” (~easy cooking for warriors~) it is 80 seconds long and cute. Check it out below!
Dungeon Meshi?! I have never heard of it till now. That poor mushroom though...
You see, you must be of a certain refindement to see that manga like this truly do shine in their genres and what they do. Quite the masterpiece through and through if I do say so myself.
