What You Need to Know:
- Thursday’s Pokémon Direct announcement featured roughly 20 minutes of new Pokémon information, including a Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team remake and two big expansions for Sword and Shield. This is surely exciting news for Pokemon fans! Pokemon Home will release February 2020, and the two expansions are slated to release later this year! More Pokemon entries are on the way! New gyms along with gym leaders, character customization features, and of course newly designed Pokemon will be coming in these wonderful expansions! Shield version or part 1 is titled 'The Isle of Armor', while part 2 is titled 'The Crown Tundra'. Are you hype for the news? Let us know! Isle of Armor will release June 2020 and The Crown Tundra will release in Fall 2020.

Isle of Armor
You'll find beaches, bogs, caves, and dunes in this vast and illustrious area. Plus, new Pokemon that players have never discovered in Galar can be found here! New dojos for gym battles will also be on this island, and you'll be able to take apprenticeship there. Mustard will be your mentor along the way and is the same mentor who taught Leon. In the Sword version, your new rival will be Klara who will be a poison-type user. Avery will be the rival in the Shield version who will be a psychic-type user.
New Legendary Pokemon
The Crown Tundra
This area is all about exploration and features a bright, shiny, and silver landscape. Then of course there's the new legendary for this expansion named Calyrex who is a psychic-grass type. It's characterized by its graceful and regal movements. The new area will contain a new co-op mode as well
