What You Need to Know:
- Frontwing is really excited to announce that their Kickstarter campaign for ISLAND has gone live, and they have plenty to offer for backers who support them! The campaign offers physical copies (DVD-ROM edition) and collector’s edition sets of the PC game (based on a recent re-release in Japan which includes a theme song CD and two-disc soundtrack), as well as a limited run of deluxe Blu-ray box sets of the anime adaptation, all of which are exclusive to Kickstarter backers. The campaign’s base funding goal is $50,000 and is accepting pledges until October 11.
- To elaborate more on what backers can receive, one is a brand-new 200-page artbook that can be easily yours! All backers at the $75 tier or above will have their name included in a special section of the artbook, as well as receive a free Steam key for the game.
- The Kickstarter-only limited edition sets include all 12 episodes of the anime on Blu-ray with Japanese audio and English subtitles, as well as a set of reproduction recording strips and a one-of-a-kind filmstrip clipping, all housed in extra-special packaging. Extra Campaign Details
The campaign includes two stretch goals at launch: at $80,000, the artbook included in the deluxe game set will be fully localized into English, and at $150,000, Frontwing will work with Prototype to prepare a digital-only PS4 release of ISLAND in English. Further stretch goals are planned if the initial goals are met. There are also a pair of high-tier, extremely limited rewards; at the $1,500 tier, 3 backers can receive a set of recording scripts signed by members of the anime’s Japanese voice cast, and two $3,000 slots are available offering an original signed and personalized shikishi drawing from the original game’s character designer Kuuchuu Yousai.
