The story starts off like your typical manga, where all of your friends are hanging out in class talking about plans for the day then suddenly, out of nowhere a freakish looking monster attacks the school and friends who were just laughing a moment ago are being torn limb from limb. Everyone tries their best to run but unfortunately meets their demise with a quick slash through their chest, and a bloody trail of organs are your only map of escape.
If you aren’t already creeped out by the manga’s cover then the minute you read deeper into the story, you’ll be even more terrified. The monsters in Hakaijuu are something that you simply just couldn’t imagine or even describe with one word because that’s simply how horrifying they are. They’re so haunting that if you ever saw them in real life, you’d probably want to jump out of your skin or better yet, just pretend to be dead so they don’t devour you. Heads get sliced in half, random civilians are left gutted with their intestines hanging out, all because these deadly monsters have no shame and could care less about what you think.
