10. Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation (The World Ends with You The Animation)

Based on the hit video game of the same name, The World Ends with You The Animation follows the tale of Neku Sakuraba as he awakens in a parallel version of Shibuya. While Neku can see other humans, they can’t see or interact with him. However, strange entities known as Noise are aiming to hurt Neku as he has been thrust into a death game dubbed the Reapers’ Game! Neku will need to go against his untrusting nature to team up with other players to somehow delete the noise around him to stay alive and escape this nightmare landscape! Grab your headphones and battle the noise in The World Ends with You The Animation!

When a sequel to The World Ends with You was announced, we here at Honey’s Anime were jumping around humming the tunes from the game. Then another surprise hit us, an anime adaptation of the original game! Animated by studio Shin-Ei Animation—Sweetness and Lighting—and domerica The World Ends with You The Animation looks to be quite faithful to the game and has some beautiful animation worthy of one of our favorite JRPGs. Fans of the game should be excited as this could be a solid animated adaption which doesn’t always happen.

9. Tokyo Revengers

Suffering isn’t a foreign concept for Takemichi Hanagaki. Unfortunately, fate hasn’t hit Takemichi hard enough and his ex-girlfriend—Hinata Tachibana—is murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. During Takemichi’s suffering, he finds himself suddenly flung twelve years back in time when he was still with Hinata and they were still a couple! With the knowledge of Hinata’s fate, Takemichi decides to join the same gang that killed her to hopefully prevent her future demise by bringing them down from within.

Revenge plots aren’t often seen in a serious manner in the world of anime. That’s why Tokyo Revengers has us quite intrigued. Focusing on drama and time travel, Tokyo Revengers seems like an exciting action/shounen series courtesy of LIDENFILMS. Here’s hoping this series wows us as much as the synopsis has!

8. Zombieland Saga: Revenge

Sakura Minamoto was dead, keyword: was. Brought back to life by a strange man named Koutarou Tatsumi, Sakura learns she wasn’t the only one resurrected. Several other girls have joined the land of the undead due to the power of Tatsumi all for one goal, to make an idol group bigger than any other! Can Sakura and her new idol band Franchouchou find a sense of normality in the world of the living?

The zombie idols are back and you can bet we’re ready for them! Zombieland Saga: Revenge acts as a second season for Zombieland following the lovely undead idols Sakura and her allies. Can they continue their invasion of Japan and getting Franchouchou’s popularity even higher? We don’t know too much about this second season but we adored Zombieland Saga and we will most certainly welcome a new season with even more songs and fun undead comedy!

7. Shaman King (2021)

You Asakura is one shaman who alongside his newly made friend--Manta Oyamada--must prove his talent is better than the rest if he wishes to ascend to the role of the next Shaman King!

Shaman King 2021 is being animated by studio Bridge who are well known for Talentless Nana and Fairy Tail which has us quite hyped! Shaman King was a fan favorite Shounen Jump series and fans will most certainly remember why. Shaman King was incredible and this remake hopefully will do the original justice!

6. Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro)

Hayase Nagatoro has found that she doesn’t enjoy clubs or after-school activities as much as she loves messing with her Senpai Naoto Hachiouji. Can our comically timid and goofy Senpai keep his composure as his student grows even bolder? Find out in this strange school comedy of a girl just enjoying her time with her important Senpai.

Our top ten list of highly anticipated spring anime wouldn’t be complete without some comedy anime thrown in and one that has caught our eye is Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro. Labeled a comedy with slice of life and romance elements, Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro looks to be quite silly and charming. The summary seems to elude our main two characters will end up in a friendly relationship but our little bee radars anticipate something more possibly!

If you did have this question, then we have a perfect anime for you! The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime seems to take the action out of the core series and act as side stories with a comedy/slice of life focus. A new powerful threat looms in the wait to test our heroes and see if they have grown stronger or have a long way on their road to greatness.
