Synopsis

This is the second season of Tsugumomo.

Completely ordinary middle-school boy Kazuya Kagami one day meets Kiriha, a beautiful girl wearing a kimono who suddenly appears before him. Even though it was supposed to be their first meeting, she greets him with a “Long time no see.”

It turns out her true identity is the spirit of an obi sash, which Kazuya always carried with him as a keepsake of his late mother… This yokai action comedy follows the supernatural happenings he must face alongside the super-sadistic beautiful obi spirit!

Three Episode Impression

Tsugumomo follows the story of Kazuya as he is one day attacked. Then an obi that he has somehow been carrying around with him, Kiriha, reveals herself to him as a spirit. There is some sort of past between them, but Kazuya cannot remember. Either way, they defeat the attacker and suddenly Kazuya’s life dramatically changes as he learns more about the world of Tsukumogami and other deities as they all try to peel back the history of Kazuya. This supernatural romcom keeps the comedy and action flowing though at a great balance that reminds me of the classic Tenchi Muyo! series. Kiriha even kicks Kazuya in the crotch when he pisses her off and it just goes from there. The humor will make you laugh, while the fights are actually not half bad. Here is to more!
