Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? Preview (No Spoilers)
Sakura Hibiki is enjoying her normal high school life hanging out with friends and eating tasty snacks until one day her best friend mentions Hibiki has gained weight. Hibiki decides to secretly try out a newly-opened gym but almost gives up when the school idol Akemi is there. Akemi’s secret muscle fetish nearly scares Hibiki away but their hot personal trainer Machio-san convinces Hibiki to stay. As she gains more workout buddies, Hibiki realizes that weight training is actually a lot of fun AND might land her a boyfriend!
Soryuin Akemi Highlights (Spoilers Beyond This Point)
1. She’s a Rich Girl with a Heart of Gold
Akemi is incredibly diligent for a girl who could very comfortably coast through life. The mansion she shares with her sister since her parents are always traveling is filled with expensive antiques and beautiful furnishings. She’s probably never wanted for anything in her whole life (except to be macho). Yet she still appreciates things even when they aren’t the best or most expensive. Hibiki’s brother’s restaurant probably doesn’t serve food of the same quality Akemi is used to but she happily partakes. She’s instantly friendly with everyone but not in a patronizing way. Even when Hibiki breaks some expensive chairs, Akemi gently tells her not to worry.
2. Not the Jealous Type
Whether it’s about guys or someone competing with her, Akemi just really enjoys seeing people try their best. Machio-san has won the heart of every girl he comes across but Akemi doesn’t see any of them as her rivals. Seeing Hibiki and the others getting stronger and stronger makes her genuinely happy. She’s the type of girl to care more about having someone to share her feelings with than being better than others.
3. She’s Willing to Work Out Her Problems
Not one to shy away from problems, Akemi faces any challenge head-on. She is kind, but she’s also not the type to hide her feelings. When Gina told Akemi they didn’t do much weight lifting in the Moscow gym, it looked like Akemi would have a heart attack or possibly shake Gina until she passed out. After the initial shock, though, Akemi regains her composure and instead of acting like her way is the only good way, she lets Gina teach her about the training she does in Russia.
4. You’d Live a Long and Healthy Life Together
Akemi gets her muscle fetish from her sister, but she has her own strong desire to live a healthy life. While she’d like to develop those bulky muscles she so loves gazing at, she knows how important exercising is for just everyday living. Akemi’s one of those girls that will probably be just as beautiful at 40 as she is at 20 and she’d love nothing more than helping you stay in shape too!
5. Pervy but Respectful
Akemi does little to hide her lust for bulging biceps and doesn’t mind getting up close and personal to ogle them. However, she makes sure to keep some distance and doesn’t touch people without permission. She doesn’t try to force others to indulge in her fantasies and just openly appreciates what she gets. Akemi may be shameless, but she knows her boundaries! The kind of girl to make you feel appreciated but not pressured, which is a great combination.
Akemi’s strength of body and heart make her quite the interesting girl. Her sincerity and honesty in a world of immeasurable riches are surprising in an ojou-sama. Since she doesn’t care what gender you are as long as you have muscles, the only thing standing between you and her is hard work! Never before has weight-training looked so attractive.
