Why You Should Watch Jingai-san no Yome

1. Loads of Comedy

The main thing that Jingai-san no Yome has going for it is the comedy. Every episode minus the first one is sure to give you a genuine laugh or two. Although most of the comedy comes from the strange interaction between humans and the monster characters, it never gets boring with there always being some new character or situation that brings a whole new dynamic to the story.

2. The Characters

Most of the characters are great and we really get a surprising amount of development out of a few of the characters despite the animes short run time. The monster characters are especially great with most of the anime's story and comedy coming from the odd ways the monster characters live. There is a nice variety of different characters that get introduced to keep the whole anime feeling fresh and interesting despite the simple plot.

3. The Randomness

Jingai-san no Yome is filled with all kinds of wild and crazy things that just keep the anime interesting. You'll never know what you are going into with each episode comes to a whole new experience. Whether it is the strange story or some of the visual gags, the anime keeps you on your feet and provides a truly unique viewing experience.

Why You Should Skip Jingai-san no Yome

1. The Romance

While this may not be a negative thing for everybody, the odd relationship and the way the romantic partners are picked may be off-putting for some people. If you are only into traditional romance stories or just can't see yourself getting invested into a story about a romantic story between a boy and a monster, there isn't much here for you to enjoy.

2. Art and Animation

Visually, Jingai-san no Yome lacks anything to help it stand out. Outside of few interesting character designs, everything looks dull and leaves you wanting more. The characters don't get to move much with the anime often having static backgrounds and characters.

3. Simple

Another issue that may not be a big deal for everyone, Jingai-san no Yome is simple. There is very little going on throughout the series to bring in anybody who isn't already a fan of the genre. Even the series’ more entertaining aspects are fairly simple in both style and execution.

One of the more interesting anime of season, there is plenty of fun to be had while watching Jingai-san no Yome. While the anime may not be groundbreaking, it may still be worth your time if you are interested in a short comedy with some heart-warming elements. What did you think about Jingai-san no Yome?
