Ufufufu, I have been waiting for an anime like this since Potemayo went off air years ago!

I was about to say the same thing. It's just cuteness overload this season with all of the cute, slice of life anime. About time.

I was going to say Ika Musume, Mo-chan. A bit surprising coming from Studio 8-bit which tends to do more risque series.

They just know where the money is this season!

What his father sent him turned out to be...a mummy?! So begins a relaxing life with mummies.

Three Episode Impression

Miira no Kaikata, at first, comes off really dumb. The animation feels a bit low budget and for the most part, absolutely nothing happens. However, if you are similar to us, you’d be immediately drawn to the little mummy named Mii-kun. Mii-kun can really capture your heart with his innocence and loving heart. Well, that’s for the first two episodes to say the least. After you’re done obsessing over how he gets along with Pochi and the like, episode three makes Mii-kun to be like that clingy ex you don’t want to deal with anymore. It’s kind of cute to see that Mii-kun cries until he dries himself out, but at the same time, this is actually rather irritating to witness as Sora becomes attached at the hip to this mummy. So while I wanted this to be cute and a fun slice of life anime featuring a cute character like anime like Bananya, Miira no Kaikata has quickly lost its charm over the course of 3 episodes. So yeah, you will be fooled by the first two episodes but quickly, Miira no Kaikata loses its cute appeal and becomes more of an anime of taking care of a tiny whiny thing that might as well be a child, and not a cute one like in Usagi Drop or Aishiteruze Baby.

Characters & Voice Actors List

Sora Kashiwagi

Voice Actor: Mutsumi Tamura

Sora is a normal high school student, but due to the fact that his father, who refers to himself as an adventurer, found Mii-kun and brought him home, Sora now lives with Mii-kun. It could be due to his father’s influence, but he is a slightly different individual.

Voice Actor: TBA

Mii-kun is a mummy from Egypt. Wrapped in mystery, it is unknown how old it is, what gender it is, nor what is inside. Extremely friendly, he sometimes cries out “bark”. What is under it’s bandages are a se-cr-et.

Tazuki Kamiya

Voice Actor: Keisuke Kawamoto

Tazuki is Sora’s best friend. He is an extreme sadist, but is also compassionate. He is also knowledgeable about Mii-kun due to Sora’s influence.

Asa Mogi

Voice Actor: Himika Akaneya

Asa is Sora and Tazuki’s classmate. Friendly and bright, she is very strong.

Kaede Kashiwagi

Voice Actor: Ai Kayano

Kaede is Sora’s aunt. All over the place, she is a writer, model, and more. She generally has a calm disposition, but when she puts on her glasses...

Daichi Tachiaki

Voice Actor: Seiichirou Yamashita

Daichi is in the same grade as Sora. He always seems to be worrying about something.
