Synopsis

The 2nd Season of Mob Psycho 100

On the outside, Mob is a completely normal - or rather, completely plain young man. He can’t read the atmosphere and he’s bad at expressing himself, but he’s actually got super-strong supernatural powers!

He’s obsessed with trying to lead a normal life and suppressing his powers, but when his emotions heighten and reach the number 100, a certain something will happen to him… He’ll explode!

With fake spirit mediums, religious sects, a delinquent leader, and a mysterious organization appearing one after the other with their sights set on his powers, will Mob, who prays for a normal teenage life, ever get a day’s peace?

Three Episode Impression

If you loved the comedy of Mob Psycho 100 before, the 2nd season will completely throw you off. Similar to the difference between season 1 and 2 for Himouto! Umaru-chan, Mob Psycho 100 2nd Season gets a whole lot more real. Mob and Reigen are still pretty similar in their contrasts, but Mob gets a lot more development this season in the first 3 episodes alone! He has to deal with whole new breeds of spirits that shake him to his core. He may be extremely strong, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be broken. We see him tackling moral dilemmas and has his own beliefs shaken up. It’s quite interesting to watch. Sure, you get a little bit of the humor from the first season, but this is just not the season for comedy, if that’s what you are looking for. I’m really curious to see how Mob’s character develops especially when he is battling his own sense of self against his job. So far, I actually really like Mob Psycho 100 2nd Season a lot more than the first season, though I’ll be honest, I didn’t think it was as funny as people reported it to be. This season just taps into a whole new facet that makes me eager to watch more.
