What You Need to Know:
- Over the weekend, the official Shirobako twitter lit up the internet to reveal that the series hasn't been forgotten. In fact, the series is getting an anime movie adaptation!
- The movie will debut in Spring 2020 and has already confirmed Tsutomu Mizushima will be returning as director with Michiko Yokote returning to write the scripts. P.A. works will animate. Kanami Sekiguchi will also be coming back and in charge of animation direction.
- Shirobako originally has a two cours anime that aired from Fall 2014 - October 2015. There were some special OVAs released after the series, but the movie is the first update to come for Shirobako in a long time. No other information has been revealed at this time, so stay tuned for more!
