Synopsis
Every 1,000 years, the gods convene at an assembly called the “Conference of Mankind’s Existence,” to decide the fate of humanity. The great gods -- the creators of all things -- are led by the Greek god, Zeus, who proposes to put an end to humanity because they have shown no signs of progress.
All the gods unanimously vote for ending the human race, but right before the vote passes, the eldest of the Valkyries, Brunhild, objects to the passage. In order to let humanity decide their own fate and to possibly save it, she provokes them by invoking a special clause in the constitution of Valhalla that states the fate of humanity should be determined by enacting Ragnarok -- the ultimate showdown between gods and mankind.
The arrogant gods take the bait and go along with her proposal. The 13 mightiest gods and mankind’s 13 greatest champions or god killers, the Einherjar, will battle it out in one-on-one combat in this unprecedented battle of epic proportions!

Brunhild: Miyuki Sawashiro
The eldest of the 13 Valkyrie Sisters. She is a demigod who has a deep connection with humans. To avoid the annihilation of mankind, she proposes Ragnarok -- the ultimate showdown between gods and men. She’s a strong-minded and wise woman who speaks fearlessly to the gods, but sometimes her sharp tongue gets the best of her.
Göll: Tomoyo Kurosawa
The youngest of the 13 Valkyrie Sisters. Even though she calls Brunhild “dear elder sister,” she can’t figure out her true intentions.
Ryofu Housen: Tomokazu Seki
Mankind’s champion for the first round of Ragnarok. He is China’s strongest warrior. Brunhild compliments him as being “the worst and most barbaric warrior” she has ever met on the battlefield.
Thor: Hikaru Midorikawa
Ryofu Housen’s adversary in the first round of Ragnarok. He is the strongest Norse god and has been given the nickname “Thunder Berserker.” He wields the giant godly weapon, Mjölnir, that exceeds even his own body in size.
Adam: Soma Saito
Mankind’s champion for the second round of Ragnarok.Adam was the first human on Earth, and is the father of all humanity. Brunhild’s opinion about him is that: “He’s the most hated human by God, as well as the human with the strongest mental strength.”
Zeus: Wataru Takagi
The gods’ champion for the second round of Ragnarok. He is one of the 12 Olympian gods. Zeus is the main god of Greek mythology and is all-knowing and all-powerful. He is king of the gods and chairman of the Gods’ Council, as well as an unparalleled combat enthusiast.
Kojiro Sasaki: Kazuhiro Yamaji
Mankind’s champion for the third round of Ragnarok. Kojiro is a swordsman that, even after 400 years after his death, keeps working on his skills. Musashi Miyamoto, who was a worthy opponent to Kojiro, said while crying, “This is what everyone with a sword should aim for, however he is unequalled for us all.”
Poseidon: Takahiro Sakurai
The gods’ champion for the third round of Ragnarok. He is one of the 12 Olympian gods.Poseidon is Zeus' older brother, the God of the ocean, and one of the most feared Gods in Greek Mythology. In the past, he killed his older brother Adamas - the God of conquest.
Hermes: Junichi Suwabe
He is one of the 12 Olympian gods.Hermes is the God tasked with delivering messages to the other Gods. He often accompanies Zeus. He’s very skilled at the violin, so much that it even moves the famous musicians in heaven to tears.
Heimdall: Yukihiro Nozuyama
Heimdall is the Watchman of the Ragnarok and is the one who announces when fights are about to happen. He announces and oversees the fights happening in the Valhalla Arena.
Odin: Sho Hayami
He is the main god of Norse mythology. He carries two ravens named Huggin and Munnin on his shoulder.
Shiva: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
Shiva is the god of destruction and creation in Indian mythology.
Aphrodite : Rie Tanaka
Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty in Greek mythology.
Loki: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
Loki is the god of Greek mythology known for wisdom.
Aries: Hinata Tadokoro
He is one of the 12 Olympian gods and the son of Zeus. Also known as "God of War".
