With a scenery that has never been seen,
A sound that has never been heard,
A fragrance that has never been smelled,
A sensation that has never been felt,
A food that has never been tasted,
And a throbbing heartbeat that has never been experienced,

This is a journey to once again gather the fragments of forgotten emotions that were left behind in the past.

When we arrived at that point, I wonder what exactly we thought.

Past stormy seas of the roaring forties, furious fifties, and screaming sixties, there exists a wilderness. At the extreme end of the south there it exists far away from the peak of civilization on Earth.

This is the story of four girls who are on a journey as they move towards Antarctica, a place further than the universe.

Mari Tamaki

Voice Actor: Inori Minase

Mari is a second-year high school student and the main character of this story. She is friendly and sweet. Her friends all follow her because she is so amicable. Since her name is Tamaki Mari, her friends call her Kimari. People often let her be the decision-maker, but actually when it comes down to being a leader or at the center of things, she is not a fan. She is brimming with curiosity, but is a bit timid at the same time and can be a bit of a coward. She is always disappointed in herself about how she wants to do something, but then will let it finish or end without doing anything at all.

Shirase Kobuchizawa

Voice Actor: Hana Kanazawa

Shirase is a classmate of Mari’s her same school and is also a second-year student. She is a beautiful young girl with black hair whose beauty tends to bring you back to reality. However, Shirase is actually rather shy and has a problem talking to either. When she does open her mouth, she tends to use harsh language and is apt to cause misunderstandings. She hardly has any friends. Everyone thinks that she is a weirdo at school and calls her Antarctica behind her back.

Hinata Miyake

Voice Actor: Yuka Iguchi

Hinata is brimming with curiosity and detests things that are boring. Friendly and short in stature, she is able to get along with anyone quickly just as if she was an elementary school student. Hinata hates being ostracized, so in order to become better friends with people, she quickly throws herself into their bosoms.

Yuzuki Shiraishi

Voice Actor: Saori Hayami

Yuzuki is a student at Mari and Shirase’s high school, but is a first-year student. She resides in Hokkaido. Following in the path her mother had established for her when she was a child, she often appears in the media as a tarento (someone who is famous for simply being famous i.e. no particular standout talent or skills). Since Yuzuki has been working since she was a child, she is mentally mature for her age. She has a very polite way of speaking and is amicable like Mari, but she has a bad habit of thinking that she is unhappy and tends to complain frequently.
